Director, Business Ops & Strategy

<p>A Director of Business Strategy &amp; Excellence in Operations at Edwards Lifesciences Canada, is responsible for leading Strategic Initiatives designed to accelerate the adoption of transformative SHD innovations enterprise-level strategic initiatives, driving operational excellence, and supporting leadership-level decision making. The role spans strategy development, operational performance enhancement, program leadership, and cross-functional alignment with Business Units, Operations, and Senior Leadership. As a key player within Edwards Canada organization, this role will have a seat at the CLT.</p><p></p><p><b>How you’ll make an impact:</b></p><p></p><p><b>Strategic Planning &amp; Execution</b></p><ul><li><p>Lead or co-lead annual strategic planning processes, including deep-dive assessments and consulting-style reviews of key business issues.</p></li><li><p>Develop and plan enterprise-level strategic projects with accountability for deliverables, analysis, metrics, and executive reporting.</p></li><li><p>Design and deliver high-quality presentations, recommendations, and communication tools for senior audiences.</p></li></ul><p><b>Operations Leadership &amp; Performance</b></p><ul><li><p>Develop targeted Operations initiatives within Strategy or in partnership with Business Units to improve operational capabilities.</p></li><li><p>Serve as a trusted partner to Operations leaders, providing recommendations to enhance performance across the organization.</p></li><li><p>Manage processes for Operations Council and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) Operations Committees.</p></li></ul><p><b>Executive Advisory &amp; Cross-Functional Leadership</b></p><ul><li><p>Advise VP and Leadership Team on enterprise-level initiatives, providing strategic insight and program direction.</p></li><li><p>Partner with internal teams, alliance partners, and BUs on strategy, marketing, commercial planning, and cross-functional initiatives.</p></li></ul><p><b>Program &amp; Change Management</b></p><ul><li><p>Lead complex cross-functional programs ensuring governance, resource allocation, and project management best practices.</p></li><li><p>Drive continuous improvement initiatives promoting efficiency, aligned processes, and enhanced strategic capability.</p></li><li><p>Drive a change within the organization as we need to enhance our value proposition to our emerging Strategic Accounts</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What you’ll need:</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Strategy, Business, Technical, Scientific, or Finance fields.</p></li><li><p>10-12&#43; years of experience in strategy, operations, management consulting, business development, or related fields.</p></li><li><p>Experience working in a regulated industry, ideally medical devices or healthcare.</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional leadership.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What else we look for:</b></p><p></p><ul><li><p><b>Strong Business Acumen</b></p></li><li><p>Strong executive communication and presentation skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to synthesize complex information into strategic insights.</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical, financial modeling, and market assessment capabilities.</p></li><li><p>Experience with clinical or medical device markets.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated people leadership and talent development capabilities</p></li><li><p>Discipline in seizing the following:</p><ul><li><p>Opportunities &amp; Challenges</p></li><li><p>Defining key tactics</p></li><li><p>Capable of establishing milestone to monitor progress</p></li><li><p>Putting in place metrics that will define success of execution</p></li></ul></li></ul><p></p><p></p><div>Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families. </div><div>For Canada, the base pay range for this position is 152 000 $  - 215 000 $ (highly experienced). The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).</div><p></p>
