Utilize strong interpersonal skills when negotiating contracts and/or bids and building long-term relationships with potential external partners and/or customers.</li><li>Participate with other directors/senior directors and/or the<span> Vice President</span> of Sales,<span> Americas</span> to establish strategic plans and objectives in the Southwest region of the US.</li><li>Call on prospective accounts, provide technical and administrative product information, coordinate presentations, and support proposal generation. Prepare client-specific presentations and other data to respond to client needs. Travel in the range of 30 - 60%.</li><li>Support management in determining service viability to include: Work with internal teams to translate client needs and expectations into reality; develop industry knowledge and maintain awareness of industry trends; perform other duties as assigned by management to meet business changes.</li><li>Function independently to influence the decision-making process of potential clients and develop strategies which anticipate client objections or ambivalence.</li><li>Ensure that sales targets are achieved by maintaining sales networking and client development activities.</li><li>Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.</li><li>Provide current and historical records by maintaining records on potential customers and projects.</li></ul><ul><li>Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.</li><li>Assist the VP- Business Development, Americas in identifying market potential by identifying client requirements; defining market, competitors' share, and competitors' advantages and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted Company share.</li><li>Maintain professional and technical knowledge; establish personal networks; and participate in relative business professional societies.</li><li>Participate in self-development activities and training of others.</li><li>Exhibit safety awareness and safe work practices.</li><li>Perform other duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business.</li></ul><p></p><p> </p><p> COMPETENCIES & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES</p><p></p><ul><li>Emphasis on business growth.</li><li>Reliability & trustworthiness.</li><li>Effective problem solving and decision making.</li><li>Passion for, and alignment with, Cryoport’s mission.</li><li>A change agent and strong collaborator who is not afraid of challenging status quo. </li><li>An individual who brings strong core values, quality, ethics, and integrity.</li><li>A collaborative team player who embraces and champions the culture. </li><li>Strong work ethic and ability to deliver results and meet commitments in a dynamic environment.</li><li>Exceptional and dynamic communications skills with the ability to inspire and influence people at all levels, build consensus and commitment, and effectively drive change throughout the organization at a rate that fits the corporate culture.</li><li>Exceptional organizational and planning skills, strong analytical abilities, and process orientation.</li><li>Demonstrates a business process orientation to developing solutions.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS</b></p><p></p><ul><li>BS/MS in a business or scientific discipline.</li><li>Understanding of the requirements and specifications in the logistics field.</li><li>A minimum of fifteen years sales / program management related experience in logistics/healthcare field.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.</li><li>Proven problem solver and independent thinker.</li><li>Business background, a plus.</li></ul><p></p><h1><span><span>Language/Communication</span> Skills</span></h1><p></p><ul><li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.</li><li>Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.</li><li>Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.</li></ul><p></p><h1><span>Mathematical Skills</span></h1><p></p><ul><li>Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.</li><li>Work with Salesforce CMS and be familiar with Microsoft Excel.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b><span>Reasoning Ability</span></b></p><p></p><ul><li>Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</b></p><p></p><ul><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
