As a core position within the Business Development team, this role is responsible for driving the company’s inorganic growth agenda by identifying and executing high impact clinical partnerships in China. The role’s mission is to accelerate growth by integrating external innovations — ranging from AI diagnostics to theragnostic - into our world class imaging portfolio. Job Description

Key Responsibilities    

  • Pathway Mapping and Prioritization for China: Map and analyze end-to-end clinical pathways in key areas such as cardiology, oncology, and neurology, etc. to identify critical gaps where external technologies can improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. This will be done through
    • Visiting Strategic Key Account and establish a deep understanding of top clinical pain points and ensure addressing the specific needs of the Chinese healthcare landscape.
    • Partnering with clinical Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to validate the medical value of the identified Care Pathway priorities.
  • Partner Scouting and Inorganic Oppty. Evaluation: Identify and evaluate external companies and innovative startups that align with our clinical pathway strategic prioritization, particularly whose offerings complementary diagnostic or therapeutic technology and solutions. Perform initial assessment on inorganic opportunities and partnership strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Execution Planning: Coordinate with Business Units (BU), Strategy and R&D functions to evaluate technology synergy, conduct clinical value validation, define theragnostic strategies, design partnership model and mechanisms, and ensure operational feasibility.
  • Financial Forecast and Investment Cases: Prepare financial forecast based on the aligned executional plan, present the partnership or investment cases to Regional CEO, CFO, CMO, CTO and BU Heads, and receive necessary approvals and global support.
  • Deal Transactional Support: Support the BD and functional teams during due diligence and deal structuring to ensure partnerships meet mutual clinical and commercial objectives.
  • Partnership Onboarding & Tracking: Lead the development of 30/60/90-day plans to onboard partner technology and work with BU and Finance to track KPIs, financial outcomes, and clinical impact.
  • Solution Enablement: Leverage partnership to support the development of solution offerings to healthcare institutions by working with strategy, solutions and BUs.

3. Required Qualifications

  • Medical/Scientific Background:  Advanced degree in Clinical Medicine or high-level professional experience within the healthcare industry that demonstrates an equivalent mastery of clinical workflows is required.
  • Strategic Business Experience: 10+ years of experience in the healthcare industry, with a proven track record in business development, equity investment, or corporate strategy.
  • Theragnostic & Clinical Knowledge: Familiarity with the integration of clinical pathways in cardiology, oncology, or neurology, with a strong desire to lead in this high-growth sector.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Team Management: Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams or managing complex projects.
  • Stakeholder Management and Communications: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders across diverse cultural contexts.
  • Bilingual Capability: Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential for navigating the local innovation ecosystem and communicating with global stakeholders.

4. Preferred Qualifications

  • Strategic Mindset and Critical Thinking: Ability to develop and articulate a clear set of inorganic strategies and investment business cases through internal and external stakeholder engagement, deep market understanding and fact-based analysis.
  • Inorganic Strategy Execution / End-to-End Deal Experience: Prior experience in managing external partnerships, licensing, or joint development agreements in the MedTech or Biotech space; M&A or equity investment transactional experience is a plus.
  • Industry Network / Ecosystem Connections: A strong existing network within the Chinese healthcare innovation community (e.g., biotech hubs, AI labs, and Grade A research hospitals).
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset and Agile Approach: Self-driven, resourceful, ability to work in a fast-paced environment to accelerate growth through non-traditional business models and pilot programs, and make things happen.
