The BD Excellence Operations Director serves as the execution partner to the SVP, BD Excellence and leads the execution engine of the BD Excellence Office. The role translates the BD Excellence Office’s strategy into measurable outcomes by driving governance, prioritization, operational planning, executive communications, and cross-functional execution. Through disciplined leadership and organizational alignment, the Director ensures that the BD Excellence Office strategic priorities are delivered with speed, rigor, and business impact.
This role has broad accountability across the BD Excellence Office operating model, including portfolio management, organizational effectiveness, resource alignment, performance management, and special projects. The Director establishes execution frameworks, monitors progress against commitments, identifies risks and dependencies, and drives timely decision-making to enable successful delivery of key initiatives.
In parallel, the Director operates as Chief of Staff to the SVP, BD Excellence, acting as a change leader, to integrate cross-functional priorities, foster continuous improvement, and embed a culture of excellence through training, certification, and best-practice adoption.
Operating as a central connector across senior leaders, functions, and teams, the Director fosters alignment on priorities, promotes transparency, and ensures the organization is positioned to achieve its transformation and performance objectives. The role directly manages the BD Excellence Deployment Coordinator and contractor resources supporting execution, data intelligence and analytics, and project delivery.

Education
• Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, Organizational Leadership, or related field.
• Advanced degree (MBA or related graduate degree) preferred.
Experience
• Typically 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategy execution, business operations, transformation, program management, or related disciplines.
• Experience working within highly matrixed global organizations.
• Proven record leading enterprise initiatives and influencing senior executives.
• Demonstrated success managing complex portfolios and delivering measurable business outcomes.

• Expertise in governance, portfolio management, business planning, and organizational effectiveness.
• Strong financial, operational, and business acumen.
• Ability to simplify complexity and drive clarity, focus, and accountability.
• Exceptional executive presence, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated people leadership experience, including management of direct reports and contingent resources.
• Position desired to be based in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey.
• Moderate domestic and occasional international travel may be required based on business needs. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required, 75% if remote; 10% if located in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey.
