Position Summary:

The Director, Neurodegeneration, Strategy & Commercial Development will work under the direction of the Executive Director, Neurodegeneration to lead efforts supporting Alzheimer's Disease strategy, pipeline, and market development. This position will help guide strategic assessments and be responsible for integrating strategic recommendations across the Alzheimer's franchise to maximize opportunities and value.

Strategy responsibilities include helping to define the scope of Alzheimer's opportunities based on the future evolution of unmet need, treatment landscape and competitive pipeline, pricing and access dynamics, and the underlying science. Deliverables include Target Opportunity Profiles, Patient Journeys, and Customer Segmentation strategies for Alzheimer's Disease.

This position is also responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategies for Alzheimer's pipeline assets, under the direction of the Executive Director. (S)he will help optimize the value of key Alzheimer's products, identifying areas for growth and seeking opportunities within and beyond the organization to add value to long-term plans. This position will support representation of Alzheimer's products on the Global Program Team.

In addition, this position is responsible for supporting Market Development activities for Alzheimer's Disease – engaging with cross-functional matrix partners and local markets to help develop and deliver the brand strategy that establishes strategic platforms for optimizing Alzheimer's assets, and to prepare markets for launch. This includes helping to inform scientific branding and brand development and working with Medical colleagues to build relationships with key external stakeholders, patient advocacy organizations, medical societies, and thought leaders in Alzheimer's Disease.

This role will engage with the Neurology community to support continued investment in the Alzheimer's strategy to help drive disease recognition and diagnosis including biomarker evolution. The successful candidate will partner with Medical, MAx, R&D, Advocacy, and selected country leads, under the guidance of the Executive Director, to ensure the Alzheimer's market development strategy is aligned, developed through market insights, and actionable across geographies.

The Director will have a passion for understanding the science underlying Alzheimer's Disease and drug development and commercialization. This requires the ability to establish strong partnerships with R&D, Medical, Business Insights & Analytics (BI&A), Business Development, Market Access, Pricing and Reimbursement (MAx), and other commercial colleagues, in support of the overall neurodegeneration strategy.

The person must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization, with high expectations and accountability on quality of deliverables and the ability to contribute to an energizing, inclusive culture. Demonstrated ability to lead and influence without direct authority across functions, including Clinical, Regulatory, MAx, Medical, BI&A, and other key cross-functional Commercial partners, is required.

Domestic and International travel required (~20%).

Key Responsibilities:

• Supports the Executive Director in developing Alzheimer's Disease strategy, pipeline recommendations, and market development plans

• Leads development of Alzheimer's market opportunity assessments and asset-level commercialization deliverables, including TOPs and patient journeys

• Helps drive the Strategic Planning process across R&D, Commercialization, and enabling functions for the Alzheimer's franchise

• Responsible for identifying challenges and solutions related to adopting novel treatments in Alzheimer's Disease

• Supports Alzheimer's market development activities, including clarifying paths to patient identification based on biomarkers and other factors, and biomarker adoption as endpoints

• Serves as liaison with key external Alzheimer's influencers on guidelines and policy-shaping efforts, including cross-industry coalitions

• Helps clarify the investments needed to increase diagnosis and shape product selection through biomarker adoption and diagnostic requirements for Neurologists, Psychiatrists, PCPs, and Geriatricians

• Helps inform brand planning across marketing, medical, and access for Alzheimer's assets

• Partners with opinion leaders, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders, external agencies, and vendors to reinforce BMS's commitment to Alzheimer's Disease

• Ensures comprehensive assessment of competitive data and events, and integrates implications into Alzheimer's brand strategy and plans

• Partners with the WW Value, Access, and Pricing team as needed to support the Alzheimer's value story

• Supports optimization of the commercialization model, driving pull-through of global launch strategies to local affiliates as relevant

• Builds a deep understanding of local market dynamics, including customer and competitive insights, to inform Alzheimer's commercialization and launch planning

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• BA/BS required; life sciences degree or equivalent desirable. MBA / graduate degree highly preferred

• 8–10 years of progressive industry experience, including demonstrated marketing experience

• Proven track record of commercial expertise across products in various stages of development, from pipeline to launch to in-market, preferred

• US and Global experience preferred

• Functional experience within Neuroscience, and specifically Alzheimer's Disease/Dementia, strongly preferred

• Demonstrated scientific acumen; understanding of drug development processes and regulatory pathways, product design, and new product evaluation

• Understanding of the commercial aspects of drug development, including global/country market dynamics, operational feasibility, market access, patient advocacy, and regulatory and reimbursement challenges across domestic and international markets

• Collaborates across the organization to incorporate the needs of internal and external stakeholders in the commercial planning process

• Ability to critically assess opportunities with disciplined thinking to determine what is best for patients and the business, and to influence and build alignment with stakeholders

• Strong financial acumen, with the ability to assimilate complex information to create and manage budgets and meet financial targets

• Proven track record demonstrating breadth and depth of experience across marketing competencies and exemplary achievement of performance objectives

• Demonstrated experience leading strategically, communicating with impact, and contributing to a strong, inclusive, energizing culture consistent with BMS values

• Experience mobilizing matrix team members and embracing teamwork within a cross-functional environment

• Knowledge of AI resources and how to utilize to enhance productivity and quality outputs.

Princeton - NJ - US: $196,950 - $238,661

The starting pay range(s) listed above is for full-time employees (FTE). You may also be eligible for additional discretionary incentive cash and stock opportunities. We determine starting pay thoughtfully – carefully considering the nature of the role, required skills, work location, schedule and the knowledge and experience you bring. Final compensation is guided by pay equity principles and applicable employment laws. Compensation programs are reviewed on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted over time to reflect evolving market factors, and individual, team or Company performance.

U.S.-based exempt employees are eligible for Flexible Time Off (FTO), which provides paid time off without a set accrual limit, subject to manager approval, along with 11 paid company holidays each year.

Non-exempt employees, RayzeBio employees, and employees located in Puerto Rico receive 160 hours of paid vacation annually for new hires (subject to manager approval), 11 paid company holidays, and 3 optional holidays.
