Digital R&D Test Automation Engineer

<p><b>ABOUT THE ROLE</b></p><p></p><p>As a Test Automation Engineer within Sanofi&#39;s Global Digital R&amp;D Software Engineering team, you will contribute to the design, development, and execution of automated test solutions that ensure the quality and reliability of Sanofi&#39;s digital products. Working within an Agile squad, you will apply your growing expertise in test automation and software engineering to help embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle. This is a key role for a motivated engineer looking to deepen their technical skills and grow within a global, mission-driven organization.</p><p></p><p><b>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p><p></p><p>Test Automation Development</p><p>• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing using established frameworks and standards</p><p>• Implement automated tests for web, mobile, and API layers under the guidance of senior engineers</p><p>• Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing automation frameworks, identifying opportunities to enhance coverage and reliability</p><p>• Execute automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines and report results clearly to the team</p><p>• Participate in test planning and estimation activities, contributing to sprint ceremonies and Agile delivery processes</p><p></p><p>Quality &amp; Delivery</p><p>• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA peers to understand requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios</p><p>• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution, ensuring clear and actionable bug reports</p><p>• Support the maintenance of test environments and test data management</p><p>• Contribute to the definition and execution of acceptance criteria and quality checks at each stage of delivery</p><p>• Assist in performance and security testing activities as directed by senior team members</p><p></p><p>Learning &amp; Growth</p><p>• Actively learn and adopt new testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies relevant to the team&#39;s technology stack</p><p>• Participate in code reviews for test scripts, applying and receiving constructive feedback</p><p>• Engage in knowledge-sharing sessions, internal guilds, and communities of practice around quality engineering</p><p>• Follow Sanofi&#39;s IT standards, coding guidelines, and cybersecurity best practices in all automation work</p><p></p><p>Collaboration &amp; Communication</p><p>• Work closely within an Agile/Scrum team, contributing to daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives</p><p>• Communicate test progress, risks, and blockers clearly to the team and line manager</p><p>• Support onboarding of newer team members by sharing knowledge and documentation</p><p></p><p>REQUIRED SKILLS &amp; PROFICIENCY</p><p></p><p><b>Technical Skills:</b></p><p>• Applications Delivery: Intermediate</p><p>• DevOps: Intermediate</p><p>• Software Design: Beginner</p><p>• Cloud Engineering: Intermediate</p><p></p><p><b>Functional Skills:</b></p><p>• Cybersecurity: Beginner</p><p>• Continued Learning: Intermediate</p><p></p><p><b>Transversal Skills:</b></p><p>• Quality Mindset: Intermediate</p><p>• Innovation: Intermediate</p><p>• Communication: Intermediate</p><p></p><p><b>Other Skills:</b></p><p>• Software Engineering: Intermediate</p><p>• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Beginner</p><p></p><p>TECHNICAL EXPERTISE</p><p>• <b>Test Automation Frameworks:</b> Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium (working knowledge)</p><p>• <b>Programming Languages:</b> Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript (intermediate level)</p><p>• <b>API Testing:</b> Postman, REST/SOAP basics</p><p>• <b>CI/CD Tools:</b> Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps</p><p>• <b>Cloud Platforms:</b> Basic understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP environments</p><p>• <b>Version Control:</b> Git / GitHub / GitLab (intermediate)</p><p>• <b>Test Management Tools:</b> Jira, Xray, TestRail, or equivalent</p><p>• <b>Agile/Scrum:</b> Working knowledge of Agile delivery practices</p><p>• <b>BDD Basics:</b> Familiarity with Cucumber or Gherkin syntax is a plus</p><p></p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS &amp; EXPERIENCE</b></p><p></p><p>• <b>Education:</b> Bachelor&#39;s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field</p><p>• <b>Experience:</b> 7&#43; years of experience in software testing or quality engineering, with hands-on exposure to test automation</p><p>• Demonstrated ability to write and maintain automated test scripts in at least one programming language</p><p>• Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams</p><p>• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control systems</p><p>• Pharma/Life Sciences experience is a plus but not required</p><p></p><p>BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES</p><p>• <b>Aim Higher:</b> Eager to grow skills and improve test coverage; takes ownership of assigned tasks</p><p>• <b>Act for Patients:</b> Understands the importance of software quality in a healthcare context</p><p>• <b>Be Bold:</b> Proactively suggests improvements to test processes and scripts</p><p>• <b>Lead Together:</b> Collaborates openly within the squad; shares knowledge and supports peers</p><p></p><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h1>Pursue <i>progress</i>, discover <i>extraordinary</i></h1><p>Better is out there.
