The Design Engineer, will be based in Worden and will design, modelling and contribute to the verification and validation of precision mechanical actuators that are suitable for mass production
What a typical day looks like:
· Design and model in detail precision mechanical actuators based on specifications, within the project budget and timing.
· Participate in multidisciplinary project teams as a point of contact regarding product design and makes maximum use of competitor engineering including molding and assembly.
· Guide Model makers and Test Engineers within projects.
· Generate product models and required documentation.
· Guide required verification and validation processes.
· Provide technical support to customers.
· Support research in the development of concepts.
· Support co-development processes with suppliers in consultation with Supplier Development Engineer (SDE) and Supply Chain Management (SCM).
· Perform CAE simulations, calculations and analyses.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
· BSc/Msc Mechanical Engineering (Fine Mechanics, Industrial or Mechatronic Design).
· Experience with 3D CAD software (Creo).
· Material knowledge (plastics and metals).
· Knowledge of mass production techniques, DFA, DFM, tolerance stacks, FMEA, ISO GPS drawings…
· Knowledge of and experience with Automotive standards and the Automotive quality system.
· Basic knowledge of electronics is an advantage.
· Innovative.
· Team player.
· Analytical thinking.
· Communicative.
· English spoken and written (working language), additional foreign languages and Dutch are an advantage.
