The Demand Planning Process Expert is a member of the pan Baxter Supply Chain Centre of Excellence Team and is accountable for governing, standardizing, and continuously improving demand planning processes across regions and business units.
This role focuses on process optimization, best‑practice adoption, and capability building, ensuring consistent and effective execution of demand planning processes. Acting as a trusted business partner to Demand Planners, the role bridges Demand Planning, Network Planning, IT, and Analytics teams, translating business needs into scalable and sustainable process and system solutions.
The position supports both run‑the‑business activities and transformational initiatives, including system enhancements, advanced analytics enablement, and organizational capability development.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on forecast accuracy analysis, volatility and bias insights, and feedback from DP Subject Matter Experts.
Identify gaps in current demand planning processes and propose process reengineering, simplification, and automation opportunities.
Act as a global expert for demand planning solutions (e.g., Maestro, Hotspot, Tableau, Power BI), ensuring system and reporting designs align with approved processes and governance.
Translate business needs into clearly defined requirements and user stories for system and reporting enhancements.
Support testing, validation, and deployment of process and system changes in close partnership with IT and the SC COE or GPS team.
Ensure process adherence and correct system usage across regions through monitoring, guidance, and corrective actions where needed.
Support cross-functional projects and initiatives.
Develop and maintain process documentation, playbooks, standards, and training materials for the Demand Planning community.
Deliver training sessions and support the onboarding of Demand Planners and Demand Planning SMEs.
Promote best practices and consistent behaviors across geographies through the SME network and community forums.
Required Skills:
Deep understanding of forecasting concepts, including statistical models, forecast accuracy, bias, volatility, and product lifecycle management as well as impact of Demand Plan quality on E2E Supply Chain.
Hands‑on experience with planning systems e.g. Kinaxis Rapid Response/Maestro, SAP APO/IBP, Blue Yonder strongly preferred.
Proven ability to define, govern, and continuously improve business processes in a complex, global environment.
Experience as a key user, process excellence team member, or transformation role is a strong advantage.
Exposure to Machine Learning, Demand Sensing, and Artificial Intelligence applications in planning or similar processes is a strong advantage.
Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, structured, and actionable process designs.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across functions and seniority levels.
Highly structured and analytical thinker with strong attention to detail.
Clear and confident communicator, capable of explaining complex topics in a simple and actionable manner.
Strong continuous improvement mindset with a high level of ownership and accountability.
Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, or Information Technology.
Strong professional experience in Demand Planning within a global or regional supply chain environment (8+ years).
Experience working within SIOP / S&OP / IBP frameworks.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The minimum salary for this position is 176 000,00 PLN annually. Your initial pay could be at the minimum or higher based on skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors, all of which are subject to change. This position may also be eligible for competitive benefits, discretionary bonuses, and/or long-term incentive.
