Job Description

Your role:

  • Create value and impact by delivering meaningful insights by using advanced technologies for analyzing and interpreting large complex data sets.

  • Establish and execute workflow to prepare and process data, to create hypotheses and validated insights using AI/DL/ML techniques.

  • Solve business-related problems using data-driven techniques and deep understanding of the end user/customer needs. Elicit scope, purpose and expected minimum quality thresholds for an AI model.

  • Build new competencies or extend existing ones that have potential to contribute significant value to the business through the application of data science.

  • Contribute to innovation and data management strategies and roadmaps together with management and business.

  • Apply operational excellence in execution, working on continuous improvement and focusing on quality

  • Keeps abreast of technical knowledge by studying and implementing state-of-the-art techniques and development tools, participating in educational opportunities, participating in communities of practice, reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks. Represent Philips internally on one or more competency domains in AI/Data Science.

You're the right fit if:

  • Performs as Data Scientist. Acts autonomously within established procedures and practices.

  • Understand product (or service) customers and/or users, and create ideas and solutions with them in mind

  • Process image, data and annotation, curate data for algorithm training. Experience of image processing is compulsory.

  • Develop solutions to the specific problem, by new algorithms and/or significantly modify the existing, as needed.

  • Ensure high data integrity and data quality for model training, validation and deployment. Find and choose the optimal data sources and data features (variables).

  • Participate in full AI model development processes, working with broader autonomy and in collaboration mode with other team members. Work cross-functionally, effectively.

  • Choose the correct performance metrics and apply the appropriate techniques to maximize performance.

  • Discover ways to leverage the data to achieve business goals.

  • Has awareness of business context and products, end users. Ultrasound imaging is preferred.

  • Proficiency in relevant programming language(s). Expertise in areas of medical imaging system, ultrasound imaging is preferred. Can adapt and change to new technologies when required.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical, Computer Science, Data Science or related field.
