Data Privacy Manager

<p style="text-align:inherit">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><h2><b>JOB DESCRIPTION:</b></h2><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p>We are looking for an experienced Data Privacy Manager to provide expert guidance on data protection matters for Abbott’s operations in the Benelux region, UK, France, and beyond. This is a key advisory role where you will collaborate with senior leaders, global Legal and IT teams, and privacy stakeholders worldwide.</p><p>Based in Zaventem, Belgium, this position is primarily office-based.</p><p><b>What You’ll Do</b></p><ul><li><p>Act as the main point of contact for privacy-related matters across Abbott’s business units.</p></li><li><p>Provide practical guidance on data processing activities and compliance with GDPR and other applicable laws.</p></li><li><p>Monitor adherence to privacy regulations and company policies, including training and awareness initiatives.</p></li><li><p>Support data protection assessments, incident management, and data subject requests.</p></li><li><p>Advise on risk assessments, including DPIAs and data transfer evaluations.</p></li><li><p>Maintain expert knowledge of privacy laws and best practices, ensuring Abbott remains compliant and proactive.</p></li></ul><p><b>What We’re Looking For</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Security, or Privacy Law (preferred).</p></li><li><p>2–4 years of experience in data protection compliance within a legal, audit, or risk function.</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of GDPR and other EMEA privacy regulations.</p></li><li><p>Privacy or compliance accreditation is highly desirable.</p></li><li><p>Excellent analytical, project management, and communication skills.</p></li><li><p>Fluency in French and English; knowledge of health data regulations in France is a plus.</p></li><li><p>Independent, detail-oriented, and capable of managing diverse projects with minimal supervision.</p></li></ul><p><b>Why Abbott?</b></p><p>At Abbott, you’ll join a global healthcare leader that values innovation, collaboration, and integrity.
