Cost Accounting Advisor

<p><b><i>What Financial Planning &amp; Analysis contributes to Cardinal Health</i></b><br /><br />Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization&#39;s assets.<br /><br />Financial Planning &amp; Analysis provides strategic partnership and objective guidance to business units. It leads cross functional efforts to enable forward looking, actionable insights with a focus on driving strategic value that influences key business decisions.</p><ul><li>Ensure the correct application of internal controls and policies related to cost accounting and/or inventory management.</li><li>Prepare detailed inventory reconciliations by comparing perpetual inventory vs GL inventory accounts and solve any variance to ensure an accurate and clean inventory balance sheet.</li><li>Provide guidelines to supporting teams or members who provide support to this role</li><li>This position is the first contact that provides support to supply chain and operations at the site.</li><li>Participates in the preparation of the annual budget and annual cost roll up.</li><li>Prepare financial forecast for the site as required.</li><li>Prepare and present analysis of operating expenses vs. budget and frozen forecast.</li><li>Prepare analysis of manufacturing variations by cost element (Labor, burden, Material, Mfg support)</li><li>Responsible for the analysis of the volume produced, trends and impact on absorptions.</li><li>Prepare and submit reports that are required and reflect the results of the plant.</li><li>Validate projects to reduce expenses.</li><li>Participate in the annual inventory of materials and/or any other inventory of materials required by the site.</li><li>Support with the preparation of KI (Key Indicators)</li><li>Participate in the closing of the month, prepare and process policies as well as analysis of results</li><li>Prepare standard cost projections for products in development and / or transfers.</li><li>Implement continuous improvement projects that optimize finance processes using the DMAIC methodology.</li><li>Comply with the necessary security measures to prevent accidents, occupational diseases, and environmental contingencies within the company.</li></ul><p><br /><b><i>Qualifications</i></b></p><ul><li>4-8 years of experience</li><li>BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field.
