Description

<p>Eyconis is seeking a highly-motivated individual to contribute to pharmaceutical development with primary focus on <strong>evaluating the performance of new delivery device components and their interactions with novel biologic formats.</strong> This role is ideal for a recent graduate or a graduate student nearing graduation with relevant research experience seeking hands-on industry experience in formulation and device development. The role is based in Redwood City, CA and reports to the manager in Formulation Development. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment to generate high-quality experimental data that supports development decisions and clinical programs. </p><p> </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Support the design and execution of studies for understanding the physico-chemical attributes of suspension drug product during interaction with delivery devices.</li><li>Perform laboratory studies related to delivery device evaluations for intravitreal injections, including assessments of syringeability, usability and robustness.</li><li>Prepare and maintain study protocols, experimental records, and technical summaries in accordance with internal procedures. </li><li>Analyze and interpret experimental data, draw scientific conclusions, and communicate results effectively.</li><li>Maintain laboratory organization, adhere to safety practices, and ensure compliance with applicable procedures and guidelines.</li></ul> <ul><li>Ph.D. or M.S in Materials Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related scientific field with 0-3 years of industry experience.</li></ul><ul><li>Hands-on laboratory experience with testing equipment, such as force tester, viscometer, UV-Vis, MFI and FlowCam, is desired.</li></ul><ul><li>Deep understanding of polymer-based hydrogels, suspensions, rheology and flow dynamics, is highly preferred.</li></ul><ul><li>Experience with suspension drug delivery systems or device engineering is a plus.</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to design experiments, analyze data, and interpret results with minimal supervision.</li></ul><ul><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul> <p><strong>Expected Salary Range: </strong></p><ul><li>The hourly rate for this role will depend upon experience. </li></ul><p>Eyconis, Inc. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
