The strength and stability that comes with being part of Berkshire Hathaway, plus the autonomy and opportunity that comes with working at one of our 120&#43; companies.</p><p></p><p><b>What You’ll Do:</b></p><p>The Compliance Specialist Intern will assist the Financial Reporting &amp; Compliance (FR&amp;C) team in supporting Cerrowire’s adherence to Marmon SPIs and participate in internal audits related to Pcards, T&amp;E, Scrap, Fixed Assets, Leases, and Contracts.</p><p></p><p>This internship offers exposure to multiple departments and compliance areas—not just one specialty—giving the intern broad insight into real-world business operations, internal controls, and audit practices across the organization.</p><p></p><p><b>What You’ll Need:</b></p><p>• Currently enrolled in a college degree program; minimum status of entering junior year<br />• Major in Accounting or Finance preferred<br />• Strong attention to detail<br />• Willingness to follow structured audit procedures<br />• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments<br />• Receptive to feedback and direction<br />• Knowledge of or exposure to compliance/audit concepts<br />• Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation<br />• Strong written and verbal communication skills<br />• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively<br />• Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information<br />• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing needs</p><p></p><p><b>Major Responsibility Areas and Duties:</b></p><p>• Support compliance activities by interpreting and applying Marmon SPI directives<br />• Assist with internal audits across financial processes, including procurement cards, travel and expense, scrap reporting, fixed assets, leases, and contracts<br />• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Accounts Payable, Procurement, MRO, Operations, and Accounting to gather and validate audit documentation<br />• Document audit findings and assist in developing recommendations to strengthen internal controls<br />• Participate in special compliance or audit projects as assigned by the FR&amp;C team</p><p></p><p><b>Compensation:</b></p><p>• $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, commensurate with relevant experience and educational background</p><p></p><p><b>Work Hours/Length of Program:</b></p><p>• The internship will run for 12 weeks from May to August<br />• Full Time, targeting 40 hours per week<br />• Exact start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules and the needs of the business<br />• This is a paid internship</p><p></p><p><b>Working Conditions and Physical Demands:</b></p><p>This position is based in our Corporate Office, and employees are expected to wear business casual dress. The office is connected to a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and may involve general exposure to a manufacturing environment, including exposure to noise, temperature fluctuations, or other factors.
