Are you an undergraduate looking for a high-impact placement role in a healthcare organisation with a clear purpose to 'do now what patients need next'? If that's you, please read on, as we’re looking for a passionate, driven Communications Intern to join our award-winning Communications team at Roche Diagnostics UK and Ireland for a sandwich year placement.
The Communications team at Roche Diagnostics UK and Ireland sits within the broader marketing function. We play a critical role in connecting our stakeholders - including our customers, clinicians, healthcare policy makers, and our wonderful employees - to the Roche Diagnostics brand and business strategy so we remain a trusted partner to all.
We’re looking for a flexible and hardworking undergraduate who is passionate about communications and would like to spend their placement year working in one of the world’s most respected and established biotechnology companies.
You will gain deep insight into the world of an in-house communications team, the diagnostics industry and the healthcare sector through being part of a fast-paced, collaborative team. You will be involved in a variety of activities to support the team as well as having the opportunity to manage your own standalone projects.
In this role, you’ll support the day-to-day running of the Communications team, working closely with other team members to execute our projects and activities. Specifically, you will:
We are a relatively small team, so everyone plays a pivotal role, and you’ll be no exception. We’re looking for someone with genuine enthusiasm, integrity, and plenty of initiative. You’ll be highly organized and efficient and keen to get stuck into a wide variety of tasks.
If you have prior coursework, extracurricular experience, or internships in communications, marketing, media, public relations, or healthcare that would be great but it's definitely not required. As a communicator, you’ll need to be able to translate complex, scientific information into digestible, engaging content with clear messages.
