We are seeking an experienced commercial leader to lead Commercial Operations and Commercial Excellence across the Asia Pacific region. This role will partner closely with commercial leaders across markets to drive sales effectiveness, business performance, operational excellence, and commercial transformation initiatives.

The successful candidate will combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution, enabling the commercial organization to accelerate growth, enhance customer engagement, and improve business outcomes across a highly matrixed regional environment.

A Day in the Life

Commercial Excellence Leadership

• Develop and execute the Asia Pacific Commercial Operations & Excellence strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Drive initiatives that improve sales effectiveness, commercial productivity, customer engagement, and market growth.
• Establish best practices and governance frameworks across commercial operations activities.
• Partner with regional and country leadership teams to identify opportunities to accelerate business performance.

Sales Effectiveness & Enablement

• Lead programmes focused on territory optimization, sales force effectiveness, account planning, pipeline management, and opportunity management.
• Develop and deploy tools, insights, processes, and training that enable commercial teams to sell more effectively.
• Drive adoption and optimisation of Salesforce.com (SFDC) and other commercial systems.
• Utilise analytics and commercial metrics to evaluate performance and identify improvement opportunities.

Regional Commercial Operations Leadership

• Serve as the regional Commercial Operations leader for Asia Pacific.
• Provide leadership and strategic direction to country Commercial Operations resources through a matrix reporting structure.
• Foster collaboration, alignment, and best practice sharing across markets.
• Establish operating rhythms and performance measures that drive accountability and execution excellence.

Business Partnership

• Act as a trusted advisor to Regional Vice Presidents, Country Directors, and Commercial Leaders.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Market Development, and Business Unit stakeholders to deliver commercial priorities.
• Support strategic planning, forecasting, performance management, and growth initiatives across the region.
• Lead cross-functional projects that improve commercial effectiveness and organisational capability.

People Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Commercial Operations organisation.
• Build organisational capability and succession plans to support future business growth.
• Foster an inclusive culture focused on performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Manage, mentor, and develop direct and indirect team members across the region.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Drive operational excellence through process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Identify and implement innovative approaches to commercial analytics, sales planning, and business insights.
• Champion data-driven decision-making across the commercial organisation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Commercial Operations, Commercial Excellence, Sales Operations, Sales Effectiveness, Business Excellence, or related functions.
• Minimum 7 years of people leadership experience.
• Experience leading regional or multi-country commercial organisations.
• Demonstrated success driving commercial transformation, sales enablement, and business performance initiatives.
• Strong understanding of sales force effectiveness, commercial analytics, CRM systems, and go-to-market strategies.
• Experience operating within complex matrix organisations.
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and executive communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Experience within the Medical Device, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, or Healthcare Technology industries.
• Experience supporting geographically dispersed teams across Asia Pacific.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce.com (SFDC) and commercial performance management tools.
• Proven ability to balance strategic leadership with operational execution.
• Experience leading teams where influence and matrix management are critical for success.
