The role  

As a Senior Commerce Strategist, you are passionate about transforming complex customer experiences into unified, scalable digital commerce ecosystems. You bring 8+ years of experience in digital strategy, customer experience, commerce, consulting, or transformation programs, with a proven ability to align business objectives, customer needs, and technology capabilities. 

You thrive in ambiguity, quickly synthesize complex inputs, and help organizations define a clear path toward a modern commerce vision.

Role Responsibilities 

Lead Commerce Vision & Strategic Alignment 

• Partner with client executives and senior stakeholders to define a unified commerce strategy aligned to business objectives and growth ambitions. 

• Facilitate alignment across business units, product teams, sales organizations, marketing teams, and digital leaders. 

• Help organizations navigate transformation initiatives stemming from acquisitions, mergers, or business expansion. 

• Translate strategic business goals into actionable commerce experience roadmaps. 

Define Future-State Customer & Commerce Experiences 

• Analyze and unify complex customer journeys across multiple audiences, business units, and digital touchpoints. 

• Develop persona frameworks that align customer needs with business priorities. 

• Identify friction points, experience gaps, and opportunities within the commerce ecosystem. 

• Define future-state commerce experiences that deliver customer value while supporting organizational goals. 

Turn Research Into Strategic Direction 

• Synthesize qualitative and quantitative research, stakeholder interviews, customer insights, market dynamics, and business objectives. 

• Understand competitive landscapes and commerce trends to inform strategic recommendations. 

• Translate complex information into clear frameworks, narratives, and decision-making tools. 

• Deliver actionable recommendations that guide experience design, platform implementation, and organizational change. 

Connect Business Strategy, Experience, and Technology 

• Collaborate closely with experience, design, technology, architecture, product, and delivery teams. 

• Ensure commerce strategies are feasible, scalable, and aligned with platform capabilities, including Adobe Commerce. 

• Partner with implementation teams to maintain strategic alignment throughout discovery and delivery phases. 

• Help clients understand how customer experience, business processes, and technology decisions work together to drive growth. 

Lead Executive Conversations 

• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder alignment sessions. 

• Present strategic recommendations and future-state visions to senior executives. 

• Build consensus among diverse stakeholders with competing priorities. 

• Act as a trusted advisor throughout transformation initiatives. 

 

Must Have Qualifications 

• 8+ years of experience in digital strategy, customer experience strategy, commerce strategy, management consulting, product strategy, or related fields. 

• Experience leading strategic discovery and transformation initiatives for enterprise organizations. 

• Strong understanding of customer journey mapping, service design, experience strategy, and persona development. 

• Proven ability to facilitate executive workshops and stakeholder alignment sessions. 

• Experience translating business strategy into digital experience and commerce recommendations. 

• Strong analytical, research, storytelling, and presentation skills. 

• Experience working within cross-functional teams that include business, experience, design, product, and technology disciplines. 

• Ability to simplify complex organizational challenges into actionable plans. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with Adobe Commerce, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce, Shopify Enterprise, or similar commerce platforms. 

• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or large-scale business transformation initiatives. 

• B2B commerce experience. 

• Familiarity with digital transformation programs and customer experience modernization efforts. 

• Consulting or agency background preferred. 

 

 

The benefits  

This is a Full time position based in USA. The offered salary range is $115,000 - $150,000 USD annually, depending on experience and location.
