<div><div>About the Role: </div><div> </div><div>This application is for a 6-month student role from July - December 2026. Resume review begins in January 2026. </div><div><div> </div><div>The Materials Planning & Supply Chain Intern supports operational efficiency and sustainability initiatives within Biogen’s manufacturing network. This role is responsible for evaluating existing material inventories and determining their continued relevance to current manufacturing processes. This role contributes to cross-functional efforts to improve material flow, optimize inventory practices, and propose sustainable alternatives. </div><div> </div><div>What You’ll Do: </div><div><ul><li>Assess material content in recycling containers and determine alignment with existing and future manufacturing process requirements. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Perform data collection and analysis to support recommendations on reuse, repurposing, or disposition of unused materials. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Materials Management, Manufacturing, and Quality, to identify areas for improvement. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Develop and propose new material handling practices to increase operational efficiency and sustainability. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Summarize and present findings, recommendations, and process improvement concepts to internal stakeholders. </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Example projects may include: </div><div><ul><li>Enhancement of material flow </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Identify enhancements to Advanced Supply Chain Planning system safety stock and resin programs </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Provide enhancements to all tracking tools used by Materials Planning </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Revamp Materials Planning reports and dashboards </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Who You Are: </div><div><ul><li>Exposure to material management, inventory systems, or supply chain principles through coursework or prior experience. </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; able to manage and analyze data sets effectively. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Effective organizational and communication skills. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ability to work independently and within a team environment. </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>To participate in the Biogen Internship or Co-op Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria: </div><div><ul><li>Legal authorization to work in the U.S. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college, university or skills program/apprenticeship. </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Education:</div><div>Bachelors of Science in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.</div></div></div> Job Level: Internship Additional InformationThe base compensation range for this role is: $23.00-$27.00<div> The actual hourly wage offered will consider the candidate’s current academic level and degree candidacy, inclusive of Associate, Bachelor’s, Master’s, JD, MD, PhD and MBA programs. It will comply with state or local minimum wage requirements specific to the job location.
