The ideal candidate will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a range of machining equipment to produce high-quality parts and components according to specifications. This role requires precision, technical knowledge, and a commitment to safety. As a Machinist, you will work closely with engineering. operations, and quality assurance teams to ensure that all parts meet the highest standards.</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b><u>Expectations:</u></b></p><ul><li>Set up and Operate Equipment: Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other machinery to manufacture precision parts.</li><li>Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to understand the dimensions and tolerances of the workpieces.</li><li>Quality Control: Inspect and measure finished products using precision tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.</li><li>Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure efficient operations.</li><li>Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear to maintain a safe and clean work environment.</li><li>Collaboration: Work closely with other machinists, engineers, and team members to refine designs and improve production processes.</li><li>Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of machining operations, materials used, and any adjustments made to the machines.</li><li>Work collaboratively within an engineering team of mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineers to design new products and upkeep existing product lines.</li><li>Clearly communicate and collaborate with various members of the purchasing team to assist in sourcing manufacturing components.</li><li>Other duties as required.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b><u>Required Qualifications:</u></b></p><ul><li>Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in machining or related field preferred.</li><li>Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Machinist, preferably with CNC equipment.</li><li>Technical Skills:<ul><li>Proficient in operating various types of machinery, including manual and CNC machines.</li><li>Skilled in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.</li><li>Knowledge of G-code and CAD/CAM software is a plus.</li></ul></li><li>Attention to Detail: Ability to produce work that meets precise specifications and standards.</li><li>Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and adjust machinery as needed to ensure high-quality output.</li><li>Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for long periods, lifting heavy materials, and working in a workshop environment.</li></ul><p><b><u>Physical Demands</u></b><b>:</b></p><p></p><p><b><u>Type of Body Motions Required</u></b><b> <u>Frequency</u> <u>Maximum Weight</u></b> </p><ul><li>Sitting / standing both</li><li>Bending frequent</li><li>Walking frequent</li><li>Lifting (specific) frequent 0-50 lbs.</li><li>Simple grasping frequent</li><li>Fine manipulation frequent</li><li>Using power tools frequent</li></ul><p>Using hand tools frequent</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><span>Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, <span>candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes</span> as permitted or required by applicable law</span>.</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
