Clinical Specialist - TAVR - EU

We are seeking an experienced TAVI Clinical Specialist to play an integral role in supporting the execution of clinical trials while advancing clinical evidence and valve science. The Clinical Specialist will provide procedural and clinical trial case support, contribute to trial enrolment, and identify ongoing educational opportunities for heart team members and the broader referring community. This individual will collaborate closely with Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Quality and Marketing to support optimal clinical outcomes and achieve enrolment objectives aligned with the company’s goals and strategy.

This is a remote, field-based position located in Europe, ideally in France or Germany, with convenient access to major transportation hubs and clinical trial sites. The position may be appointed at varying levels depending on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience and will report to the Senior Director of Field Operations. The role requires approximately 50–70% travel throughout Europe, with occasional international travel outside the region, and is expected to commence in Q3/Q4 2026.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Successfully complete the Anteris internal training program, including demonstrating competency in CT and echocardiographic imaging, applicable clinical study documentation and Instructions for Use, procedural best practices, clinical evidence, approved product messaging and the competitive landscape.
• Interface with clinical trial sites, demonstrating expertise in all technical aspects of TAVI clinical case support, training and education, customer service and communication.
• Demonstrate competency in all procedural aspects of DurAVR® THV case support, including valve preparation and loading, device delivery and implantation, complication mitigation and troubleshooting, in accordance with the clinical trial protocol and established best practices.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the approved DurAVR clinical trial protocol, including inclusion and exclusion criteria and requirements for pre- and post-procedure imaging and clinical data.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pre-case planning, CT analysis and pre- and post-procedure recommendations to support optimal clinical outcomes.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of existing DurAVR clinical data and the evolving structural heart evidence landscape.
• Support the Clinical and Regulatory Operations teams with site communications, data compliance activities, screening review efficiency and site submission requirements.
• Attend assigned clinical cases and support the heart team with preparation and loading of the DurAVR valve.
• Provide education and guidance to physicians and site personnel regarding the identification of appropriate study participants and support complete and accurate patient screening and enrolment documentation.
• Track patient screening pathway activity and routinely provide site-level metrics related to screening progress and trial enrolment.
• Identify operational improvement opportunities at the site level and recommend strategies to accelerate enrolment, improve efficiency and appropriately advance therapy adoption.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of case support, site activity, training and other required clinical trial information.
• Comply with applicable European and country-specific regulations, Good Clinical Practice requirements, ISO 14155, clinical trial protocols, company policies and site-specific procedures.

Required Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, nursing, life sciences or another relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and clinical experience.
• A minimum of three years of medical device clinical support experience, including experience working within the sterile environment of a cardiac catheterization laboratory, hybrid operating room or operating theatre.
• A minimum of two years of direct structural heart TAVI procedural or device implantation experience is essential.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in interventional cardiology and structural heart therapies.
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, valvular heart disease and TAVI procedures.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50–70% of the time throughout Europe, with occasional international travel outside the region.
• Flexibility to support clinical procedures outside standard business hours when necessary.
• Fluency in English and either French or German is required. Proficiency in additional European languages is strongly preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet applicable hospital credentialling and vendor access requirements.
• Full and ongoing working rights in the country of employment. Anteris is unable to provide employer-sponsored visa support for this position.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience supporting medical device clinical investigations conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice, ISO 14155 and applicable European and country-specific regulatory requirements.
• Experience working across multiple European countries, clinical trial sites or healthcare systems.
• Fluency in both French and German, or proficiency in another European language in addition to English.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships with physicians, research personnel, hospital staff and internal colleagues across different countries and cultures.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage competing clinical and operational demands.
• Creative resourcefulness and strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment and confidently lead training, provide clinical recommendations and deliver procedural case support.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, cath lab and operating theatre staff, research teams and other site personnel.

Compensation:

Anteris offers a competitive compensation package that includes base salary, annual short-term incentive eligibility and participation in the company’s equity program. Final compensation and appointment level will be determined based on the successful candidate’s qualifications, experience, country of employment and alignment with the requirements of the role.
