Description
The Clinical Molecular Technician I is the entry-level position in the NxGen MDx laboratory. Clinical Molecular Technicians are responsible for the daily specimen and reagent preparation and downstream testing, including result interpretation and quality control. Using Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), the Clinical Molecular Technician I will work as part of the laboratory team in testing, result generation, and troubleshooting issues that may occur.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Diagnostics, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or similar. 2. Accurate small-volume liquid manipulation (pipetting). 3. Understanding of genomic databases and genetic variant information sources. 4. Understanding of operating parameters for thermocyclers, qPCR instruments, NGS technology, fluorescent measurements, and spectrophotometer measurements. 5. Experience using Microsoft Office and Google Documents.
