This is not an exhaustive list and employees in these classifications frequently may be required to perform additional duties.</div><div>Reviews cleaning and testing procedures prior to performing prescribed work and prior to entering the tank car. Must know and adhere to confined space entry procedures and all other safety rules.  <br />Checks calibration equipment to ensure accurate readings of LEL oxygen content meters, pH meters, and Draeger meters. <br />Connects high-pressure air, steam and water hoses and operates cleaning rack equipment and performs manual cleanout of tank interior as required. <br />Removes, cleans, repairs, tests, and applies valves and fittings when required. <br />Applies nitrogen or mineral oil to tank interiors when required. <br />Operates testing equipment to monitor cleaning operation of the system. <br />Ensures that cleaning procedures and equipment conform to company and EPA standards. <br />Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner and reports potential hazards. <br /><br /> <b>Knowledge and Skills Required</b><br />Have a high school diploma or GED<br />Must be able to demonstrate job related knowledge of measuring devices such as rules.<br />Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of weight volume, and other units of measurements.<br />Must be able to work effectively and efficiently both as a member of a team and independently.<br />Able to follow written and/or verbal instructions with minimal supervision.<br />Dependable and reliable to show up for scheduled work shifts, including overtime<br />Must be able to work any shift <br /><br /><b>Environmental Conditions</b> <br />Must take necessary steps to protect themselves from toxic fumes. <br />Must take necessary steps to protect themselves when working in a flammable environment. <br /><br /><b>Why Join our team?</b><br />We take pride in offering our employees rich benefits packages.
