Title: Buyer Planner II This position is based in our Campbell, California offices. This position is on-site & full-time Why Imperative Care? What You’ll Do As a developing professional, this role will collaborate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, R&D, Process Development, and Quality teams to support Supply Chain functions. The Buyer II will leverage their expertise, knowledge, and company policies to resolve problems, complete projects, and recommend improvements. They will assist with core purchasing and sourcing activities for multiple Business Units with minimal supervision and will proactively manage supply continuity risks. As needed, this role will also be performing day-to-day warehouse-related operations including receiving, production floor replenishment and inventory control activities in support of product manufacturing.  This role is tasked with materials movement from the warehouse to the appropriate internal customers, documenting accurately all transactions into QAD.<ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">Procuring and planning of goods and services for R&D, NPI and Production to maintain quality, cost/project budget, and desired inventory levels per MRP.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Work with R&D and PD to manage materials through the transition of NPI to commercial production.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers including facilitating supplier calls, resolving NCRs, generating scorecards, and providing OTD metrics.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Partner with Senior Buyers and Materials Management to execute Supply Agreements with key suppliers.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Provide support to Quality to execute Quality Agreements.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Build relationships with suppliers and ensure that they meet requirements to remain on the ASL. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Collaborate with Sourcing to drive and execute projects.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Participate in recurring meetings with key suppliers to ensure delivery schedules are on track, address any supplier related issues and develop solutions to mitigate risk or delays.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Secure and analyse quotations, negotiate costs and terms with suppliers.  Recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality and delivery competitiveness. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Work with suppliers to understand Tier 2 suppliers to ensure continuity of supply.</li></ul>What You’ll Bring: <ul><li class="MsoHeader" style="margin-left:8px;">Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical or Business discipline and a minimum of 1 year of related experience of MRP planning in a regulated manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.</li><li class="MsoHeader" style="margin-left:8px;">Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and applicable Quality Management System (QMS) standards.</li><li class="MsoHeader" style="margin-left:8px;">Knowledge of ERP, item master parameters, bill of materials, product structure, routings, and master scheduling. </li></ul><ul><li class="MsoHeader" style="margin-left:8px;">Demonstrated experience with automated purchasing systems, preferably QAD. </li><li class="MsoHeader" style="margin-left:8px;">Demonstrated ability to drive and achieve resolutions.</li><li class="MsoHeader" style="margin-left:8px;">Excellent verbal and written communication skills, follow through and collaboration with cross-functional teams. </li><li class="MsoHeader" style="margin-left:8px;">Ability to understand business goals, anticipate needs based on changing work demand, and respond to concerns and resolve materials conflicts. </li><li class="MsoHeader" style="margin-left:8px;">Experience with detailed data entry to accurately record inventories and materials information and transact material lots through processes and inventory locations</li></ul>Employee Benefits include a stake in our collective success with stock options, bonus, competitive salaries, a 401k plan, health benefits, generous PTO, and a parental leave program.
