<p style="text-align:inherit"> </p><p><b>Are you a skilled Building Maintenance Technician with experience in plumbing, carpentry, and painting?</b></p><p></p><p>We’re looking for someone to join our maintenance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract to support a range of important site maintenance projects.</p><p></p><p>In this role, you’ll carry out a variety of practical maintenance tasks across our facilities. A typical day will consist of cleaning and preparing floor surfaces before painting them. As part of this role, you’ll also carry out general repairs to doors and walls, and completing painting and decorating work on rooms, doors, and frames. You may also install noticeboards, fit shelving, and complete other general property maintenance tasks.</p><p></p><p>You’ll also undertake basic domestic plumbing work, such as maintaining water systems, replacing valves, and changing isolation valves or flexible hoses.</p><p></p><p></p><p><b>About You:</b></p><p></p><p>You may have previous experience working in building maintenance, or you may come from a general handyman or multi-trade background. You’re confident carrying out a range of practical tasks including plumbing, carpentry, painting, cleaning, and general property repairs.</p><p></p><p>This role requires someone who is self-motivated and well organised. You’ll need strong planning skills to ensure you have the tools and materials required for upcoming work. Due to the way our team operates, you should be able to anticipate what equipment and materials you’ll need ahead of time and plan accordingly.</p><p></p><p>Strong communication skills are also essential, as you’ll be working across two teams. You should be proactive in keeping colleagues informed about what work has been completed, what is scheduled for the next day, and plans for the week ahead.</p><p></p><p>Due to the nature of our operations, you’ll need to be comfortable wearing PPE while working.</p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Location &amp; Benefits:</b></p><p></p><p>Working at a facility that breeds and cares for animals, in Belton (just outside Loughborough).
