This role drives productivity, quality, and scalability by integrating advanced automation technologies within SMT and Assembly processes, ensuring solid ROI, safety, and long-term operational impact.</p><p></p><p><b>What a typical day looks like:</b></p><ul><li>Define, implement, and evaluate automation projects that improve manufacturability and operational efficiency.</li><li>Lead automation initiatives from concept to implementation, validation, and sustainment</li><li>Act as a technical leader within Automation Engineering.</li><li>Identify improvement opportunities between SMT and Assembly processes through automation.</li><li>Implement robots, machine vision systems, AMRs, and custom automation solutions.</li><li>Design and simulate electrical and pneumatic systems using specialized software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical).</li><li>Create and manage RFQ and SOW documents; build business cases and ROI analysis.</li><li>Lead supplier evaluations, quotations, follow-ups, and automation integrations (cells, custom machines, full lines).</li><li>Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and Leadership.</li><li>Define and track KPIs, operational metrics, and statistical performance indicators.</li><li>Apply Six Sigma tools, GAP analysis, and statistical controls.</li><li>Support safety and ergonomics compliance.</li><li>Represent automation solutions internally and with customers.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>The experience we’re looking to add to our team:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or similar.</li><li>Advanced English (written and spoken).</li><li>Strong experience with automation integration projects in manufacturing environments.</li><li>Experience with screwing processes and automated assembly.</li><li>RFQ &amp; SOW knowledge.</li><li>Knowledge of AMR equipment.</li><li>Experience working with automation suppliers and system integrators.</li><li>Advanced knowledge of Electrical design and debugging (AutoCAD Electrical).</li><li>Experience with Pneumatic design and systems, Mechanical design and assembly.</li><li>Knowledge of PLC programming and industrial controls.</li><li>Availability to travel.
