If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2>Job Summary</h2><p><b><span>What a typical day looks like:</span></b></p><ul><li>Overall management and supervision of the daily work of the injection tooling department to ensure the safe and effective operation of the department.</li><li>Ensure all tools receive normal preventive maintenance to minimize down time.</li><li>Quote tooling for new NPI projects or duplicate tools of existing projects.</li><li>Review the DFM and provide comment and suggestion on the tooling point of view.</li><li>Review and approve the tooling design before steel cutting.</li><li>Responsible for technical guidance and problem solutions of new tooling.</li><li>Supervise of all tooling manufacturing machines, CNC, EDM, W-cut, Lathe and so on.</li><li>Supervise, train, and lead the tool room staff to produce quality molded products in a safe and productive manner.</li><li>Monitor the tooling manufacturing process quality as well as the workmanship on the assembly.</li><li>Track progress on tooling repairs and modifications. Work with Engineering, Production, customers, and vendors to expedite in a timely and cost-effective manner.</li><li>Support on the tooling buyoff activity at tool maker side with the team.</li><li>Support on the tool qualification process.</li><li>Support to solve tooling related problem in mass production.</li><li>Lead all tooling analysis and communicate to production manager how to improve quality, cycle time and cavitation.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>The experience we’re looking to add to our team:</span></b></p><ul><li>Degrees in engineering (Mechanical, Materials Science, Plastics, etc.)</li><li>Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in plastic tooling, Five (5) years or more management experience.</li><li>Basic English skills and ability to communicate with overseas customers.</li><li>Must have experience in tooling design, fabrication, development, testing, and validation.</li><li>Injection molding processing and tooling setup and repair experience are required.</li><li>Strong knowledge of tooling, especially in high cavitation, high precision tooling.</li><li>Rich experience on Tooling URS, DFM and pFMEA.</li><li>Proficient in UG/AutoCAD/Pro-E/Mold-Flow software and basic office software.</li><li>Experience of medical injection mold manufacturing techniques and validation processes (DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ) is preferred.</li><li>Experience with Injection molding machinery related automation processes is preferred.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>What you’ll receive for the great work you provide: </span></b></p><ul><li>Social Insurance</li><li>Housing funding</li><li>PTO</li></ul><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2></h2><h2>Job Category</h2>Production Engineering<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><span>Required Skills:</span></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">Optional Skills:</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><span>Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
