Description

Immunocodex, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist/Senior Associate Scientist to join its research team in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate has a strong background in biology, an interest in autoimmune diseases, and is looking to make a significant impact on our cross-disciplinary team. The candidate would be responsible for planning, performing, and analyzing in vivo and ex vivo studies to drive program discovery and development. Candidates with experience in molecular cloning, a background in immunology, and/or experience working with in vivo disease models are strongly preferred. Immunocodex is an exciting new startup company based upon work by Professor Francisco Quintana at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The company exists in a highly collaborative, fast-paced research environment with excellent access to resources and equipment.

Requirements

B.S. and/or M.S. in biology or a closely related field with 2+ years of industry laboratory experience. Experience with bacterial cloning, transformations, transfections, and site-directed mutagenesis. Experience with rodent handling, dosing, and necropsy. Experience with collection and processing of tissues for RNA, protein, and histological analyses. Experience with molecular biology assays including qPCR, western blot, and ELISA. Experience with in vitro and ex vivo culturing techniques. Proven ability to advance multiple studies simultaneously and support the implementation of new assay technologies. A background in immunology or autoimmune diseases is a plus. A background in mRNA/LNP technology is a plus.
