The primary responsibilities for the successful candidate will include method development, sample testing, analyzing data, and authorizing protocols and reports.</p> <h3>Essential Functions:</h3> <ul> <li>Assist in analytical method development of new assays.</li> <li>Perform analytical testing, data analysis and present in team meetings.</li> <li>Maintain thorough and accurate records of laboratory work.</li> <li>Support daily lab operations, sample inventory and sample shipment.</li> <li>Author analytical documents including but not limited to test method, protocols, and reports.</li> </ul> <h3>Requirements: </h3> <ul> <li>BS in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry preferred, Organic / Biochemistry considered, with 2+ years of relevant industry experience, or MS with 1+ years of experience. Other combinations of education and/or experience may be considered.</li> <li>Experience in chemical and biological assays such as colorimetric/ fluorometric microplate assays, PCR/qPCR, HPLC, CE, UV-Vis, ELISA and LC-MS.</li> <li>Understanding of basic principles of analytical method development/ validation/ qualification concepts.</li> <li>Attention to detail and excellent skills in record keeping/documentation.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written formats.</li> <li>This position is a lab-based role and requires onsite presence.</li> </ul> <div><strong>Reports to: </strong>Senior Scientist, Analytical Development, Raw Materials</div> <div> </div> <div><strong>Location: </strong>San Carlos, CA</div> <div> </div> <div><strong>Expected Contract Length: </strong>12 Months</div> <div> </div> <div><strong>Hourly Range: </strong>$51.00 - $56.00</div> <p> </p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>We are an equal opportunity employer.
