Associate Director, Regional Tax Americas
Location: The ideal candidate will be located in or willing to relocate to Morristown, NJ, Greenwood, SC, or Tampa, FL. Regular onsite presence at one of these locations is required for this position.

What you will do:
We’re building a brand-new standalone tax function following a carve-out and are seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Director, Regional Tax Americas to lead tax operations and provide expert guidance across the Americas region. This role is responsible for overseeing direct and indirect tax matters, ensuring compliance with regional and global requirements, and supporting business objectives through effective tax planning and risk management. The ideal candidate will act as a key business partner to regional leadership while driving consistency, governance, and operational excellence across tax processes.
Lead and oversee all direct and indirect tax matters across the Americas region, ensuring alignment with Group Tax Strategy
Act as a strategic tax business partner to regional and country leadership, providing practical and value-driven guidance to support decision-making
Own and manage regional tax risk assessments, including identification, mitigation, and escalation of key risks
Oversee tax compliance activities across regional entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to local regulations and Group standards
Establish and maintain strong tax governance frameworks, internal controls, and audit readiness across the region
Support and lead engagements with tax authorities, including audits, inquiries, and dispute resolution, in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external advisors
Identify and implement tax optimization opportunities, including credits, incentives, and efficiency improvements, while maintaining proper documentation
Monitor regulatory and legislative changes and provide updates to ensure ongoing compliance and alignment with global tax policies
What we are looking for:
7–10 years of progressive experience in corporate tax, preferably within a multinational organization or in-house environment
Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax regulations, with experience in tax compliance, reporting, and accounting
Proven ability to manage tax risk, governance frameworks, and compliance processes across multiple jurisdictions
Experience working with ERP and financial systems, with strong understanding of data and reporting requirements
Ability to operate independently in a global, matrixed organization while effectively managing multiple stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and risk-aware mindset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex tax concepts into clear business guidance
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Tax, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred)
