Associate Director, GLS NA Modality Integration

Position Summary
The Associate Director, NA GLS Modality Integration is a senior cross-functional leader and organizational operations partner to the North America Global Logistics Services leadership team, enabling integrated performance across Clinical, Commercial, and Cell Therapy logistics. This role leads the integration of logistics operations across all modalities served by NA GLS — ensuring that networks mature into aligned, interoperable, and efficient operations. The role owns the NA GLS performance management framework, drives cross-modality alignment and operational cadence, and leads strategic execution initiatives that span the full logistics portfolio.

This role also serves as the organizational Chief of Staff to the NA GLS leadership team — driving operating cadence, governance, KPI reporting, and strategic execution. The Associate Director champions process harmonization, system workflow integration, service level segmentation, and knowledge management across the NA organization, while serving as the SAP systems subject matter expert and ensuring leadership attention is focused on the highest-impact priorities across the network.

Key Responsibilities
 

Operational Strategy & Network Oversight

• Develop and implement North America logistics strategies aligned with Global Logistics Services objectives across Clinical, Commercial, and Cell Therapy modalities to optimize efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
• Monitor the external landscape for trends and industry best practices; bring insights back to drive continuous process improvement across the NA logistics organization.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional projects, change controls, and initiatives supporting improvements in NA logistics operations or other areas that span multiple modalities.
• Ensure oversight and drive continuous improvement in NA network operations, partnering with functional leads to identify and close performance gaps.
• Report progress, risks, and outcomes of integration and improvement initiatives to NA GLS senior leadership in a timely manner.

Modality Integration & Process Harmonization

• Lead the harmonization of processes, procedures, and operating practices across Clinical, Commercial, and Cell Therapy modalities within the NA GLS organization.
• Identify divergent practices across modalities and drive alignment toward common standards where appropriate, while preserving modality-specific requirements where necessary.
• Partner with modality experts across NA GLS to develop and maintain harmonized SOPs, work instructions, and operating models.
• Map system workflows used across modalities and identify opportunities for integration and standardization within the NA logistics environment.
• Partner with IT and digital teams to design interoperable workflows across NA logistics activities and systems.
• Segment service levels to balance risk, cost, and criticality across NA markets, products, and modalities; define and maintain segmentation criteria that reflect the appropriate service, cost, and quality trade-offs.

Performance Management, KPIs & Budget

• Own and manage the North America logistics performance framework, spanning Clinical, Commercial, and Cell Therapy operations.
• Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators for North America; develop and maintain operational visibility tools and dashboards to support high operational standards and leadership decision-making.
• Support budget and expense management through ongoing reporting, analysis, and monitoring of actuals against plan across the NA logistics organization; drive monthly and quarterly review cadences.
• Identify performance gaps, support implementation of corrective actions, and track resolution to maintain high operational standards.

Organizational Operations & Cross-Functional Alignment

• Serve as an organizational operations partner to the North America logistics leadership team, enabling alignment across Clinical, Commercial, and Cell Therapy logistics activities.
• Serve as an informal escalation point and trusted advisor to stakeholders navigating complex logistics challenges.
• Lead preparation of governance materials and leadership presentations.
• Champion digital and AI enablement across the NA logistics organization; promote adoption of tools and capabilities that improve efficiency and decision-making.

Systems, Automation & Knowledge Management

• Serve as subject matter expert for logistics SAP workflows and processes across Commercial, Clinical, and Cell Therapy operations within NA.
• Develop and deliver structured SAP and process training programs across the NA logistics organization.
• Lead operational visibility and automation initiatives; identify sustainable work automation opportunities and lead their implementation.
• Assess outsourcing opportunities for transactional or repeatable logistics activities within NA and develop recommendations for leadership consideration.
• Evaluate and promote adoption of AI and digital tools to enhance logistics operations and data-driven decision-making.
• Lead knowledge management efforts to capture modality-specific logistics requirements, risks, and lessons learned across the NA organization; ensure knowledge is accessible and consistently shared across the NA GLS team.
• Act as a central point of contact for modality-specific logistics knowledge within NA GLS.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Foster strong relationships with global and regional stakeholders within and outside of GLS.
• Serve as a trusted liaison for the NA logistics leadership team, ensuring timely communication of priorities, risks, and strategic updates.
• Develop and manage stakeholder communication plans for major operational changes, system implementations, or organizational initiatives across the NA logistics organization.
• Partner with leadership to craft internal communications that reinforce organizational priorities and operating norms.
• Represent NA GLS Modality Integration in cross-functional and global forums, including with GLS leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA with a Logistics/Supply Chain focus preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain distribution activities, with demonstrated experience across multiple supply chain modalities (Clinical, Commercial, and/or Cell Therapy).
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional or cross-organizational integration initiatives, including harmonization of processes, SOPs, and operating models across modalities.
• Demonstrated cross-functional leadership and ability to drive alignment across multiple stakeholder groups in a complex, matrixed environment.
• Knowledge of supply chain and logistics operations spanning clinical, commercial, or cell therapy environments; understanding and experience of GMP and GDP requirements.
• Experience developing and implementing service level frameworks, SLAs, and segmentation approaches to balance risk, cost, and criticality.
• Experience developing and managing KPIs, performance dashboards, and operational reporting tools; strong skills in electronic systems, data analysis, and data management.
• Track record of identifying and delivering automation, outsourcing evaluation, or operational efficiency initiatives.
• Strong knowledge management skills, with experience building and maintaining knowledge repositories and ensuring knowledge is accessible across distributed teams.
• Experience with SAP or equivalent logistics management systems; demonstrated ability to serve as a systems subject matter expert and deliver structured training programs.
• Familiarity with AI and digital enablement tools in a supply chain context; demonstrated ability to champion and drive technology adoption.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to build robust relationships and networks and influence without direct authority.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
• Relevant certifications (APICS CSCP, PMP, or equivalent) preferred.
• Willingness to travel approximately 15–20%.

The starting pay range(s) listed above is for full-time employees (FTE). You may also be eligible for additional discretionary incentive cash and stock opportunities. Final compensation is guided by pay equity principles and applicable employment laws. Compensation programs are reviewed on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted over time to reflect evolving market factors, and individual, team or Company performance.

U.S.-based exempt employees are eligible for Flexible Time Off (FTO), which provides paid time off without a set accrual limit, subject to manager approval, along with 11 paid company holidays each year.

Non-exempt employees, RayzeBio employees, and employees located in Puerto Rico receive 160 hours of paid vacation annually for new hires (subject to manager approval), 11 paid company holidays, and 3 optional holidays.
