We are looking for people who are determined to make life better for people</p><p>around the world.</p><p>The LCCI (Lilly Capability Centre India), BI&amp;A (Business Insights &amp; Analytics) team was started in 2017 with</p><p>the objective of supporting business decisions for the commercial and marketing functions in the US and</p><p>ex-US affiliates. This team is part of the LCCI - Commercial Services organization and works very closely</p><p>with business analytics team based in Indianapolis (HQ). The team currently comprises of ~300 team</p><p>members, with varied backgrounds and skills across data democratization, data engineering, analytics and</p><p>data sciences, market research. The team works across customer segments which include HCPs, Payer and</p><p>HCOs, Consumer and Med Affairs.</p><p>Currently, we are hiring for an Associate Director who can manage Data Scientists in the team. This team</p><p>works on commercial analytics requirements of Lilly’s US portfolio. The scope of work starts from launch</p><p>support and continues across the life cycle of our products. There is a strong focus on predictive analytics</p><p>and for the same, we are expanding the data science team. The incumbent will</p><p>- take ownership of people and work processes for the DS team</p><p>- define structure and expand current delivery by building a strong process-focused culture</p><p>- work closely with the onshore advisors to plan and build these capabilities to meet strategic needs</p><p>- build and leverage relationships with stakeholders across BI&amp;A, other Commercial Services, and other</p><p>technical teams</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><p>People and Project Leadership</p><p><span></span><span> </span>Manage the Data Science team, help data scientists take ownership and deliver best outcomes,</p><p>focusing on quality and productivity</p><p><span></span><span> </span>Will be responsible for supervising, managing, and motivating team members on a day-to-day</p><p>basis</p><p><span></span><span> </span>Create a framework for communication, project management and execution across team to help</p><p>drive best practises</p><p><span></span><span> </span>Work under the guidance of DS director, implement policies and procedures that will improve</p><p>operations</p><p><span></span><span> </span>Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand key result areas, ensure expansion and</p><p>penetration of data science use-cases</p><p><span></span><span> </span>Develop a pipeline of data science talent and leadership, and contribute to an inclusive community</p><p>of data analytics practitioners/ thought leaders</p><p><span></span><span> </span>Be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration</p><p>Strategic growth and thought leadership</p><p><span></span><span> </span>Strategize on key opportunities/ whitespaces, drive discussions and expand outcomes from LCCI</p><p>for data science solutions</p><p><span></span><span> </span>Focus on the future business needs and expand capabilities of the group</p><p>Integrate working model for analytics capabilities across BI&amp;A teams, and where possible, across</p><p>other LCCI teams to drive better cross-team resourcing, cross-pollination of best practices.</p><p><span></span><span> </span>Conducting quarterly/ annual performance reviews of the team and motivate team to achieve</p><p>excellent results</p><p><span></span><span> </span>Go beyond to support BI&amp;A leadership to implement out of box solutions which support Lilly’s</p><p>organizational objectives.</p><p>Required Skills and Expertise:</p><p><span></span><span> </span>12&#43; years of relevant experience in a data science and people management roles supporting</p><p>Pharma/Lifesciences Commercial ops internally or in consulting.</p><p><span></span><span> </span>At-least 6&#43; years’ experience in leading highly competent and analytics-oriented teams</p><p><span></span><span> </span>Persuasive communication and inter-personal skills</p><p><span></span><span> </span>High level of motivation and a strong desire to find creative solutions to challenging situations.</p><p><span></span><span> </span>Demonstrated ability to enforce business rules and policies in a constructive but disciplined</p><p>manner</p><p><span></span><span> </span>Substantial analytics experience and understanding of complexities in specialty markets, analytics</p><p>techniques, and US pharmaceutical business</p><p><span></span><span> </span>Proven ability to manage resources to achieve project and business results</p><p>Education</p><p><span></span><span> </span>Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Computer Applications/ Mathematics/ Pharma or a related field</p><p>from a premium college</p><p></p><p>Lilly is dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities to actively engage in the workforce, ensuring equal opportunities when vying for positions.
