Associate Director, Area Business Lead, East France

The Opportunity:

The Area Business Lead is responsible for the team promoting Revolution Medicines products/services to the oncology community in the East area of France. This person is ultimately accountable for building, leading, inspiring, developing and guiding the activities of Senior Oncology Account Managers to achieve the objectives. In addition, this person is responsible for growing several key business relationships with Area-Level healthcare accounts including major health systems, large practice networks, and Area specific oncologists by developing/executing strategic account plans and maximizing appropriate product utilization, while maintaining strong customer relationships and furthering Revolution Medicines reputation as a leader in Oncology. The Area Business Lead possesses strong analytical, coaching, collaboration and communications skills, while also having a proven track record of success as a sales leader, building world class teams and launching first in class medicines. The Area Business Lead should have the ability to synthesize high volumes of data to strategically guide the team and optimally collaborate with cross-functional matrix partners to drive optimal outcomes and foster an unusually healthy and engaging culture.

The Area Business Lead is a key leader driving commercial success within the respective regions in the oncology business. Acting as a central enabler of integrated, omnichannel customer interaction, and ensuring that regional execution is closely aligned with the overall strategy and internal functions, this position is working closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing, and other functions. Through effective leadership, consistent coaching, and development of high-performing teams, the Area Business Lead does play a pivotal role in achieving revenue and corporate objectives.

This position reports directly to the Sr. Director, Commercial Lead, France.

Primary responsibilities of the Area Business Lead, East France, are summarized below.

• Recruits and develops a best-in-class sales team, cultivates a culture of performance, accountability and patient first mentality.

• Shapes an integrated, customer-centric, and high-performing regional execution strategy.

• Fosters a culture of continuous development, learning agility, and personal accountability within the team.

• Designs and implements Area-specific sales strategies that are aligned with brand objectives leveraging deep market insights and customer needs.

• Combines strategic leadership, coaching, and an entrepreneurial mindset with a deep understanding of the oncology care landscape. In doing so, takes responsibility for regional development, team performance, and the consistent execution of the corporate strategy in the market.

• Creates and communicates short and long-term vision, strategies and initiatives in alignment with corporate goals and objectives.

• Drives exceptional team performance by setting clear goals, providing tailored coaching and recognizing and rewarding successful behaviors.

• Leads the development and alignment to key levers of performance such as quarterly business plans and skill building to ensure top performance.

• Participates as an active member of the Sales leadership team. Provides input and creative thinking into the strategic planning to address all critical business opportunities and promotional tactics to ensure the field perspective is represented.

• Acts as a point of contact for relevant market information from local, field-based employees to home office leadership, as well as appropriate recommendations for action.

• Manages all resources within budget.

• Complies with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Revolution Medicines staff. Ensures that sales staff conduct business in compliance with Revolution Medicines policies and the highest ethical standards.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

• Scientific/commercial degree and 20 years of biopharma industry experience.

• Preferably 10+ years prior experience leading oncology sales teams.

• Proven track record of product launch success in the oncology therapeutic space.

• Experience launching oncology products with companion diagnostics.

• Proven performer in highly competitive marketplaces.

• Proven performer in solo-representative selling environments.

• Demonstrated success operating in small/midsize biotechnology environments.

• Ability to meet territorial travel requirements.

• Ability to travel to meetings/training/programs, as necessary.

• Proven effectiveness in highly collaborative & cross-functional working environments.

• Valid driver's license.

• Experience in small to midsize biotech space.

• Must permanently reside in the territory for which they are accountable.

• Self-directed and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Ability to set priorities and work towards tight timelines with a willingness to travel, mainly within France, up to 60% of time.

Preferred Skills:

• Preferably experience in the GI and/or NSCLC oncology space.

• Expert knowledge of all relevant topics (i.e. marketing, training, market access, business of oncology, distribution, data-acquisition, etc.) to this role.

• Oral Oncolytic product launch experience is preferred.

• Strong organization, planning, project management, technical and analytical skills.

• Other related experience (e.g., sales operations, market research, market access, etc.).

• Ability to work independently to execute strategic and tactical plans under tight timelines.

• Ability to assemble and lead cross-functional teams toward a shared vision of success.

• Ability to present ideas effectively to individuals or groups, targeting presentation to the needs of the audience.

• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, a structured approach to tasks and a professional appearance is essential to embody the core values from Revolution Medicines.

• Flexible team member who can handle ambiguity and evolving priorities in a fast-growing organization embracing a positive attitude towards change, able to operate within agreed financial budgets.

• Delivers compelling presentations to individuals and groups, adapting messaging to maximize audience engagement.

• Highly proficient in Microsoft suite including PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
