As the Associate, Automation & Control Engineering, you will maintain and provide effective MES/SCADA and related application support for LS1/DMS Flex Lens manufacturing platform and Chemical Production through on-time support and continuous improvement
In this role, a typical day will include:
What You'll Bring to Alcon
• 1-2 years of experience in engineering or manufacturing industries, preferably in medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
• Knowledge and experiences in Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Supervisory Control Automation and Data Acquisition (SCADA).
• Sound technical problem-solving skills with experience in advanced manufacturing equipment engineering.
• Hands on knowledge on automation engineering, PLC/SCADA/MES systems, Microsoft SQL/Oracle/Access database, Microsoft Visual Basic/C#/ASP.net/Python programming and IT (Infrastructure and Network).
• Good communication skills and able to lead a team.
• Six Sigma certification preferred
• Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 (computerized system validation) is preferred
• Skilled in software application development, scripting, and database programming (SQL), with the ability to effectively leverage AI-assisted technologies to streamline design, coding, and troubleshooting.
