Position Overview

We are seeking a Manager/AM to join the Business Operation CoE team under a central support model, supporting both the Business Operation CoE, through centralized business operation frameworks and methodologies, and the Vaccine Business Unit (VBU), as its Business Excellence Business Partner.

This role will focus on developing and scaling cross-BU methodologies and analytics for Business Operation Excellence including performance goal setting, territory design, performance tracking, and etc., and on translating vaccine business needs into analysis, tools and execution plans. The candidate will work closely with BE BP&I CoEs, VBU and other BU BP teams to share best practices and resources while meeting business needs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Operation Excellence Framework & Methodology

• Develop the centralized framework and methodology for performance goal setting, territory design, field force sizing, deployment and HCP targeting
• Set up health-check mechanisms and diagnostic analyses on performance goal setting and territory design processes
• Standardize and scale business operation best practices across BUs, ensuring alignment with governance frameworks
• Automate and visualize business operation processes by leveraging AI tools

2. Business Excellence BP to VBU

• Support VBU business strategy formulation by consolidating internal performance, external policy and industry pipeline insights, leveraging AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot)
• Support VBU field team central operations, incl. KPI setting, quarterly calculation and territory management, based on the centralized frameworks
• Monitor territory performance against performance goals and conduct ad-hoc analyses to uncover gaps and flag issues
• Support VBU field team with insight and analytical capabilities for business planning and problem-solving
• Support alliance management with vaccine business partners in target account segmentation and performance goal setting

3. Cross-BU Leverage & Strategic Communication

• Connect the Business Operations CoE and VBU: bring vaccine business needs into centralized frameworks and CoE best practices back to the vaccine business
• Translate complex data into clear, compelling visual presentations and recommendations for senior stakeholders
• Engage key stakeholders across BE and BUs, ensuring consistency in messaging and alignment with strategic priorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Economics, Statistics or related field; Master's degree is a plus
• 5+ years of experience in Business Operations, SFE / Commercial Excellence or data analytics, preferably in pharmaceutical industry; consulting background is a plus
• Solid understanding of SFE and field force performance metrics, with hands-on experience in performance goal setting and territory design
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI); open to adopting AI tools at work
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; experience in leading cross-functional projects and influencing senior stakeholders
• Curiosity about the vaccine industry and business excellence, can-do spirit, result orientation and integrity
• Fluent in written and spoken English
