Position Overview - Basic Functions & Responsibility
Essential function(s) includes, but is not limited to:
• The OBU Business Excellence Business Partner (BEBP) Lead is a strategic thought partner to OBU leadership and a core integrator of insights, planning, execution, and governance.
• The role is responsible for harnessing Business Excellence capabilities and insights to drive sustainable business performance, enable disciplined decision‑making, and ensure high‑quality execution—without adding unnecessary operational burden to the business.
The Core Responsibilities are:
Essential function(s) includes, but is not limited to:
1. Act as a reliable partner, supporting strategy formulation, prioritization, and performance dialogue
2. Translate business strategies into clear, executable business plans through fact‑based insights, scenario thinking, and outcome‑oriented recommendations.
3. Serve as primary BE interface for BU ensuring effective collaboration and efficient operating mechanism
4. Lead business planning process, ensuring territory design, resource deployment, and target setting are aligned with business strategies
5. Proactively identify performance risks and opportunities through robust performance management frameworks, quantified & integrated analysis, and structured mitigation recommendations
6. Champion continuous improvement and the adoption of scalable best practices across the business
7. Partner closely with MKT, Business, CE, finance, and other teams to drive aligned execution and shared outcomes; facilitate complex cross-functional discussions with fact-based framing and structured problem-solving to ensure consistent business narratives and aligned understanding across stakeholders
Contribute to talent development through coaching, structured feedback, and knowledge sharing; Role model an outcomes-driven, collaborative, and accountable performance culture.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or above.
Minimum 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with strong exposure to business planning, analytics, or commercial operations.
Demonstrated experience in areas such as customer segmentation, targeting, business forecasting, performance tracking, and execution management.
Professional Capabilities
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect strategy to execution.
Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate data into decisions.
Solid project management capability and experience working in complex, matrixed environments.
Strong influencing and communication skills with senior stakeholders.
Entrepreneurship mindset, the ability to constantly self-challenge and challenge status quo in a constructive way.
Show integrity, tenacity, resilience and adaptability in complex situations and an often changing environment; is able to handle pressure and commit to and respect deadlines.
Good command of written English, communication verbal English
