Description

We are looking for a talented Application Support Engineer for Lucullus®, our software suite for bioprocess development. Your responsibilities will include the installation and basic configuration of our software applications on-site or by remote access to Linux and Windows. You coordinate with the customer and responsible stakeholders for the respective IT infrastructure (OS/Networking/Database) all the necessary steps to deliver installations. You plan and perform software updates for our customers and handle 1st and 2nd level support issues using our ticketing system (incl. triage). You support our tests department in the verification of installations and updating procedures.

Requirements

Successfully completed an apprenticeship as a computer scientist or an equivalent IT education, and several years of working experience. You like resolving technical issues in complex life science lab devices, computers, and network environments. You enjoy the responsibility of executing, managing, and coordinating 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support tickets. Strong people skills, being able to establish trust and develop long-term relationships with clients. You feel at ease with administrative tasks on different OS (Linux, Windows). Preferably, you have experience in basic database administration (Oracle Database and/or PostgreSQL). Preferably, you have experience with software-to-software integration technologies, including REST APIs, SOAP, and similar connector frameworks for seamless system interoperability. You are willing to embrace travel activities of up to 5% (North America, Europe). You like to work independently and use your strong problem-solving abilities in a goal-oriented way while collaborating and communicating well in international and multicultural settings. Experience in (bio)process technology is a plus; however, it is not a prerequisite. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Switzerland.
