If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2>Job Summary</h2><p>To support our extraordinary teams, which build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a<b> Senior Database Administrator </b>located at <b>Guadalajara, North Campus</b>.</p><p>Reporting to the <b>Manager IT,</b> the<b> Senior Database Administrator </b>is responsible for providing expert support for SQL Server databases while designing and implementing tools and scripts that optimize and automate database operations.</p><p><b>What a typical day looks like:</b></p><ul><li>Manage and maintain SQL Server instances across test and production environments.</li><li>Perform proactive and reactive performance monitoring, identify and resolve bottlenecks, optimize queries, and fine-tune database parameters.</li><li>Act as an L3 escalation point for complex database issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions (includes on-call support).</li><li>Coordinate and plan changes (installations, upgrades, migrations) following company change control processes.</li><li>Design and implement HA/DR solutions (Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, Transaction Replication).</li><li>Collaborate with developers, infrastructure, and application teams to support database needs.</li><li>Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for recurring issues and escalations.</li><li>Mentor junior DBAs and contribute to team knowledge bases.</li><li>Support SQL Server deployments in Azure, AWS, or hybrid environments.</li><li>Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and internal tools to streamline SQL Server operations across hybrid environments (PowerShell, Python, T-SQL, Terraform).</li><li>Document automation processes, configuration changes, and operational workflows to ensure transparency and maintainability.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>The experience we’re looking to add to our team:</b></p><p></p><ul><li>BA/BS in Engineering, or related field.</li><li>Fluent English.</li><li>Strong experience as a DBA in SQL Server.</li><li>Experience with Azure or AWS cloud services, including resource provisioning and automation.</li><li>Strong scripting background to automate tasks and build tools (PowerShell, T-SQL, Python).</li><li>Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and Agile project management.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What you’ll receive for the great work you provide: </b></p><ul><li>Competitive Salary.</li><li>Life &amp; Medical insurance.</li><li>Christmas Bonus.</li><li>Food Coupons.</li><li>Saving Fund.</li><li>Life Insurance.</li></ul><p></p><p>HS115</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2></h2><h2>Job Category</h2>IT<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
