In this pivotal global role, you will manage external business partner alliances and vendors supporting Pharma Development Safety (PDS) globally, ensuring high-quality oversight of existing services while expanding into automated and augmented delivery through cutting-edge technologies.
In the Alliance Management Principal position, you will be the vital link between internal teams and external partners, providing subject matter expertise and fit-for-purpose governance to ensure optimal delivery in accordance with robust Service Level Agreements. By collaborating across a matrix organisation and partnering with key stakeholders in Procurement, Finance, and Digital Technology, you will drive continuous improvement, manage budgets, and foster a culture of innovation to navigate an shifting safety systems landscape.
The Opportunity:
Lead the development and implementation of holistic global safety sourcing and outsourcing strategies that maximise value, increase productivity, and reduce operational complexities.
Define, implement, and maintain robust vendor governance and performance management frameworks across a diverse human resource and technology vendor landscape.
Partner with vendors and internal teams to design, manage, and adopt automated or augmented solutions, leveraging artificial intelligence and new technologies within an innovation framework.
Oversee service provider budgets, spend analytics, and forecasting solutions to proactively manage resource and budget demand in partnership with Procurement and Finance.
Establish effective interface frameworks across PDS functions and technical groups to ensure business requirements are clearly defined, implemented, and aligned.
Adopt and role-model agile methodologies to drive efficiency, promote adaptive problem-solving, and provide coaching and mentoring to cross-functional squads and team members without direct reporting lines.
Act as a central point for issue escalation, monitor business risks, and present complex information to senior leadership and governance committees to drive effective decisions.

To be successful in this role, you bring:
You bring 7+ years of experience including a Life Science degree (or equivalent industry qualification) paired with significant experience in areas relevant to pharmacovigilance and an expert knowledge of global PV regulatory obligations.
Strong experience in vendor and business partner management, with a solid understanding of contractual frameworks, SLA management, and budget oversight.
Familiarity with the PV service provider landscape, including digital outsourcing models, automated/AI systems, and emerging technology solutions.
Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to influence senior leaders and navigate complex cross-functional stakeholder environments.
Demonstrated experience leading diverse, multicultural, or virtual teams, with a knack for fostering autonomous decision-making and championing agile methodologies.
Excellent project and conflict management skills, with a track record of independent decision-making and exercising strong judgment under competing priorities.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Mississauga is 136,936.00 and 179,728.50 of hiring range.
