<p><b>Your Challenges</b></p><p></p><ul><li><p>Aligning Account Receivables and Credit Management processes with group / market region standards, allowing minimal local exceptions.</p></li><li><p>Ensure adequate credit control procedures and SOPs are in place.</p></li><li><p>Managed customer account handling such as account receivable, payment collections, refund, statement of accounts, regular account reconciliation etc.</p></li><li><p>Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.</p></li><li><p>Continuously driving process improvements.</p></li><li><p>To support external/internal auditors on audit matters and provide necessary details.</p></li><li><p>Ad hoc tasks given by manager.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities and Duties:</b></p><p><b> </b></p><p>1) Master Data - Customer master data maintenance</p><p> </p><ul><li><p>Update the new and revised customer account in the SAP.</p></li><li><p>Update new and revised credit limit of customers.</p></li><li><p>Periodic check for inactive customer accounts and block for posting/flag for deletion.</p></li><li><p>Proper filling of documentation for all master data (new account, credit limit) for audit retention.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>2) Credit Management</p><p> </p><p>(a) Customer onboarding</p><ul><li><p>Perform a background search with the relevant authorities of a potential new customer to verify the company's legal existence.</p></li><li><p>Perform periodic reviews of the financial situation of existing customers and take necessary action to safeguard the company’s assets.</p></li><li><p>undefined</p></li></ul><p></p><p>(b) Credit limit administration</p><ul><li><p>Constantly monitor the performance (sales and collection) of the customer accounts to ensure the trade is within the credit limit assigned. </p><p>Assign the credit limit to potential new customers with recommendations according to the agreed credit control policy.</p><p><b> </b></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>(</b>c) Risk category administration</p><ul><li><p>Assign the credit limit to potential new customers with recommendations according to the agreed credit control policy.</p><p></p></li><li><p>Review with the Manager the customer for past payment trends/sales or any returned/stopped payment.</p></li><li><p>Propose to the Country Head to change the trade terms (credit limit & credit terms) if the current limit is not sufficient.</p></li><li><p>Monitor the bad debt/doubtful debts provision. Highlight to Manager when the provisions reach an alarming level.</p></li><li><p>Always minimize bad debts level. Highlight to Manager when an account potentially turns bad with suggested next best cause of action.</p></li><li><p>Send out reminder letters to customers who are not paying on time.</p></li><li><p>Review and assess “high risk” Customer accounts to ensure that adequate risk mitigation steps have been taken either by placing a Credit Insurance or obtaining a bank guarantee from the customer.</p></li></ul><p><b> </b></p><p>(d) Customer claim handling</p><ul><li><p>Ensure customer claims (CN & DN) and returns are adequately handled with proper documentation from customer care team and properly accounted in the customer account.</p></li><li><p>Review/issue Credit Notes for goods returned and submit for Manager’s approval.</p></li></ul><p><b> </b></p><p>(e) Order blocking & releasing</p><ul><li><p>Discuss with sales and customer care team for the customers with “Order block” status due to the credit limit being exceeded.</p></li><li><p>Check with the sales team if the collection has been made for “order block” status review.</p></li><li><p>Inform customer care team to release the blocking after consensus agreement/action has been obtained with the sales team.</p></li></ul><p><b> </b></p><p>3) Customer Account Handling</p><p> </p><p>(a) Payment collection from customers</p><ul><li><p>Process and ensure collections from customers are captured and reflected in the account in a timely manner.</p></li><li><p>Process customer transaction items per bank statement and ensure all are captured and reflected in the respective accounts in a timely manner.</p></li><li><p>Process and ensure receipts have been issued for all collections from customers.</p></li><li><p>Monthly update the actual collection vs target collection.</p></li><li><p>Assist the Field Sales in dealing with customers to discuss overdue amounts and agree on repayment terms.</p></li><li><p>Process reminder letters and ensure have been sent to customers with due receivables.</p></li><li><p>Liaise with customer if a problem arises due to unpaid invoices.</p></li><li><p>Seek advice from Manager if the credit limit is breached and needs collateral from customer for credit limit increase.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>(b) Outgoing refund payments</p><ul><li><p>Process refunds to customers with proper documentation.</p></li><li><p>Process refund payments are properly accounted for in the customer account.</p></li><li><p>Review/issue the Credit note for the refund to the customer and submit for Manager’s approval.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>(c) Statement / Reporting</p><ul><li><p>Process Statements of Accounts and issued them to customers monthly.</p></li><li><p>Conduct Customer reconciliation for all customer accounts in a timely manner.</p></li><li><p>Prepare monthly reports on bad debts.</p></li><li><p>Prepare monthly AR balance sheets reports and ensure it’s updated.</p></li><li><p>Prepare DSO reporting by entity for target achievement.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>4) Ad Hoc Handling</p><ul><li><p>Attend to queries from customers in a proper and timely manner.</p></li><li><p>Interact with the Sales and Customer Care team on queries on customer accounts in a proper and timely manner.</p></li><li><p>To attend to external/internal auditors and provide necessary details.</p></li><li><p>Any ad hoc tasks assign by manager.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><b><span style="font-size:14px">Your expertise</span></b></p><p></p><ul><li><p>Minimum 5 years of working experience in the finance and accounting background.</p></li><li><p>Good knowledge of end-to-end credit control and accounts receivable processes.</p></li><li><p><span style="font-size:14px">Strong written and verbal communication skills especially during difficult customer negotiations.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Must possess at least bachelor’s degree in finance and accountancy or any relevant discipline as Credit Management. </span></p></li><li><p><span style="font-size:14px">Professional qualification such as member of ACCA, CPA, CIMA will be an added advantage.
