Ensures organizational adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or other regulatory requirements. Ensures timely preparation and review of required regulatory filings. Prepares accounting reports and Cash Forecast for executive leadership. Reviews work submitted by accountants and manages accounting close processes. Performs analysis on organizational or business unit financial and accounting metrics. Manages the activities of supervisors and/or individual contributors.</p><p>- Manages staff, including hiring, firing, and conducting performance reviews</p><p>- Ability to analyze monthly variances</p><p>- Researches and documents on proper US GAAP accounting</p><p>- Prepares and / or reviews journal entries</p><p>- Reviews and/or performs account reconciliations</p><p>- Assists in the preparation of month-end and year-end financial statements</p><p>- Performs and is responsible for general control activities</p><p>- Assists in the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly consolidation packages</p><p>- Identifies exposures and recommends corrective action to management</p><p>- Evaluates and monitors controls to ensure compliance with SOX</p><p>- Responds to information requests from staff at all levels and all functions</p><p>- Completes special projects</p><p>- Interacts with internal and external customers</p><p><br /><br />REQUIREMENTS:</p><p>Education and Experience: Undergraduate degree major in Accounting</p><p>Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 8+ years) or equivalent and relevant combination of education, training, and experience.1+ year of leadership responsibility</p><p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p><p>Strong supervisory and management skills</p><p>Proficient in problem solving and prioritizing</p><p>Work effectively with all levels of employees</p><p>Strong knowledge of approved accounting practices including financial statement information and preparation of financial reports and statistics</p><p>Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Strong Microsoft Office skills for analysis and presentation of data Demonstrates strong presentation skills.</p><p>Good communication skills both written and verbal</p><p>Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task and handle pressure</p><p>Working Conditions and Environment: Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently drives to site locations and frequently travels both domestic and international. Long, varied hours may be required</p><p>Physical Requirements: Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day.</p><p>Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf. Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups both internally and externally.</p><p>Ability to apply basic principles to solve conceptual issues. Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress. Ability to multi-task.
