Our continued success depends on it!</p></div></div></div></div><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b>Position Overview: </b><br />The Accountant, Accounting APAC (further ‘Accountant’) will report to the Senior Manager, Accounting APAC and will assist in managing the accounting entries, <span style="color:#404040">documents, payment information and recording other financial transactions for both group reporting purposes and local statutory reporting.</span></p><p> </p><p><span style="color:#404040">The Accountant will be tasked with managing </span>financial operations in the region, currently covering Malaysia, Singapore, China and Australia. <span style="color:#404040">Work closely with accounting and finance teams in a fast-paced public company to execute on financial operational initiatives, monthly financial reporting and internal control compliance and related activities.</span></p><p> </p><p>In this high-growth and fast paced environment continuous development of the processes and systems is crucial. The successful candidate for this role should preferably have a track record of having identified and implemented process and systems improvements. As such, the Accountant should provide a thorough understanding of ERP and SAP systems, preferably experience in SAP S4/Hana.</p><p> </p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Support the execution of the monthly financial close process including creation of journal entries and account reconciliations.</p></li><li><p>Assist in the review of monthly US GAAP results and preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting to US Parent in relation to the 10Q/K consolidated reporting.</p></li><li><p>Support the quality and timeliness of internal control requirements associated with general ledger reporting, including SOX404.</p></li><li><p>Support the team in working with external advisors in the preparation and audits of statutory financial statements and supporting notes as well as support the tax team in view of the preparation of corporate tax computations, returns, and ad hoc tax requests.</p></li><li><p>Continue<span style="color:#0875e1"><u><span style="font-size:14px"> </span></u></span>monitoring Malaysian e-Invoicing requirements and compliance and provide support for Singapore and China as well as others region once enforcement is implemented.</p></li><li><p>Perform other duties as assigned.</p></li></ul><p> </p><p><span style="font-size:14px"> </span><b>Experience/Competencies:</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in Finance &amp; Accounting.</p></li><li><p>In possession of a professional accountancy qualification (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA) or similar certification preferred.</p></li><li><p>2 to 6 years<span style="color:#0875e1"><u><span style="font-size:14px"> </span></u></span>related accounting experience in a fast-growing environment, preferably in a publicly listed company.</p></li><li><p>Experience with manufacturing accounting is a plus.</p></li><li><p><span style="color:#404040">Solid accounting knowledge, with a strong knowledge of international accounting and auditing standards, such as US GAAP, IFRS and Sarbanes Oxley legislation.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#404040">Deadline driven with highest possible accuracy.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#404040">Strong experience working in ERP systems, with SAP as preferred.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#404040">Prior experience in auditing is considered an advantage.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#404040">Prior experience working with foreign currencies is a plus.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#404040">Preferably a track record of continuous development of processes and systems.</span></p></li></ul><p> </p><p><span style="color:#404040"><b><span style="font-size:14px">Skills/Competencies:</span></b></span></p><ul><li><p><span style="color:#404040"><span style="font-size:14px">Team player with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#404040"><span style="font-size:14px">Strong analytical skills.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#404040"><span style="font-size:14px">Pro-active, motivated individual able to work independently with a healthy ambition to grow and develop.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#404040"><span style="font-size:14px">Organized with proven ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#404040"><span style="font-size:14px">Stress resistant and able to work with deadlines.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#404040"><span style="font-size:14px">Effective verbal and written communication skills.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#404040"><span style="font-size:14px">Fluent in English.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#404040"><span style="font-size:14px">Strong knowledge of Excel and other Office tools, such as Analysis for Office, Power BI.</span></span></p></li></ul><p> </p><p><span style="color:#000000"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#000000"><b>Physical Requirements (if applicable):          </b></span></p><ul><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Role is on-site at the Company’s Malaysia facility.</span></p></li></ul><p></p>
