Description
The Accessioning Technician I is the entry-level accessioning role that assists laboratory personnel in daily accessioning activities and performs pre-analytical processing of specimens and a variety of clerical and data entry duties in support of department. Responsibilities include pre-analytical processing of specimens, data entry for specimens, managing requests from the laboratory, handling specific specimen requirements, and supporting laboratory operations. The role also includes clerical duties and assisting in training new employees.
Requirements
High school diploma, proficiency in medical terminology, experience using Microsoft Office and Google Documents, and 1+ years of previous data entry experience preferred. Skills include strong communication, attention to detail, time management, multitasking, and familiarity with HIPAA and PHI concepts.
