Marmon Utility LLC<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><span>As a part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings—which is backed by Berkshire Hathaway—</span><span>you’ll</span><span> be doing things that matter, leading at every level, and winning a better way. </span><span>We’re</span><span> committed to making a positive impact on the world, providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities, and fostering a culture where </span><span>everyone’s</span><span> empowered to be their best.</span></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>Operates the Jacket Line consistently meeting Hendrix’s quality and productivity requirements in a safe manner with minimum scrap.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p></p><p><b><span>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</span></b></p><p></p><ul><li><span>Complies with company safety rules at all times during working hours and ensures the safety of himself/herself and others at his/her operating station.</span></li><li><span>Responsible for keeping equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion.</span></li><li><span>Works in a professional manner, punctual and highly dependable.</span></li><li><span>Mechanically sets up strander and jacket line, pay-offs through take-up operations, including installation of appropriate tooling and all auxiliary line equipment needed to produce varying cable designs described in the Engineering Specification.</span></li><li><span>Consistently monitors the supply of raw material to ensure a continuous operation.</span></li><li><span>Performs required measurements with company approved measuring devices to ensure final process meets the required specifications.</span></li><li><span>Verifies the measuring devices are calibrated.</span></li><li><span>Generate product identification tags for finished products and maintains accurate record keeping of all pertinent information required by Hendrix, including work center line quality records.</span></li><li><span>Visually inspect neutral spools for damaged wires.</span></li><li><span>Perform cold welds of bare neutral wires to maintain spool operation.</span></li><li><span>Responsible for scrapping balance copper from the unloaded spools using sweed chopper.</span></li><li><span>Performs head clean-ups and screw pulls when required or as according to schedule.</span></li><li><span>Shares in the responsibility of terminating jacketed cable for electrical testing, if applicable.</span></li><li><span>Completes and passes Fork Lift Safety Training.</span></li><li><span>Takes corrective action to ensure quality product.</span></li><li><span>Participates in scheduled team meetings and contributes to continuous improvement.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b>EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS</b></p><p></p><ul><li><span>Required: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) </span></li><li><span>Understanding of the basic extrusion line operation including the line components associated with the processes.</span></li><li><span>Operation of the pay-off and take-up equipment.</span></li><li><span>Tools and measuring devices applicable to the industry.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>SKILLS AND ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS</span></b></p><p></p><p><span>Position requires individuals with proven mechanical aptitude.
