Inside Sales and Field Sales
The purpose of the Sales internship is to provide meaningful, hands-on professional experience to students with proven academic performance and leadership potential. Abbott hires students majoring in a range of areas, including marketing, sales, and business, based on business need. Ideal candidates combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities.
Inside Sales and Field Sales internship trains and develops future sales professionals within the Cancer Diagnostics division through cross-functional project work and direct customer and stakeholder interactions. Interns build the foundational skills needed for a career in healthcare sales, choosing a track in either commercial strategy or field-based sales.
Internship Details: Cancer Diagnostics Division of Abbott
12-week paid internship
Housing and transportation provided (if criteria are met)
One-on-one mentorship across various levels and experience
Meaningful project work and skill development applied across the ONCO division
Comprehensive commercial or field sales experience, with potential for a full-time position upon graduation
Structured training in sales, business development, and diagnostics selling
Fun and team-oriented social events
Inside Sales track location: Onsite in Madison, WI at Cancer Diagnostics Headquarters location
Field Sales track locations: Atlanta, Carolinas, Mid-Atlantic, Ohio-PA, Detroit.
Must be in or willing to relocated to the above locations
Basic Qualifications -
Completed at least three years of college education before beginning internship
Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferable in sales, finance, business or marketing
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications -
Strong academic performance (GPA 3.0/4.0 or higher)
Relevant sales and leadership experience
Interest in working in the healthcare or diagnostics field
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
The base pay for this position is
$16.85 – $33.75/hourIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
