We are not afraid to take risks to unlock innovation and advance scientific discoveries.</div> <div> </div> <div>These values are the foundation of our work, empowering us to make a real difference, every day.</div> <div> </div> <div> </div></div><p><strong>Position Title: </strong>2026 Summer Intern - Biostatistics (PhD Student)</p> <p><strong>Department: </strong>Biostatistics</p> <p><strong>Reports To:</strong> Director, Biostatistics</p> <p><strong>Location: </strong>Princeton, NJ – On-site 4 days per week (Mon to Thurs)</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Job Overview</strong></p> <p>Kardigan is looking for a Biostatistics Intern to join our Biostatistics team to explore and evaluate data handling strategies including missing data handling for analyzing clinical trial data and digital health data streams. If you’re interested in learning about the latest clinical trials and analysis methods within a supportive and fast-moving environment, this role is a great fit.  You’ll contribute to real projects, learn from experienced teammates, and make a meaningful impact on our biostats programs across our portfolio.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Evaluate data processing and modeling strategies for clinical trial and digital health data using both real study data and simulation-based.  ​ </li> <li>Compare different data handling approaches, including missing data imputation techniques and estimand strategies, and summarize their strengths, limitations, and best practices in a structured report.​ </li> <li>Explore wearable device data to better understand its structure, quality, and analytical considerations. Interpret results and communicate insights clearly and translate findings into actionable recommendations. </li> <li>Develop clear, well-documented, and reproducible code in R/Python/SAS to support analyses and simulation work.  </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Qualifications </strong></p> <ul> <li>Current Ph.D. level student enrolled in an accredited institution in <strong>Biostatistics, Statistics, Data Science</strong>, or a related field. </li> <li>Experience with <strong>R, Python, or SAS </strong>for data analysis. </li> <li>Interest in clinical trials, digital health analytics, and simulation methods. </li> <li>Familiar with advanced statistical methods, including longitudinal data analysis and multiple imputations </li> <li>Nice to have someone who has completed an internship in the past.</li> <li>Strong curiosity, attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and enthusiasm for learning. </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Pay:</strong> $33 per hour <br><strong>Location requirement:</strong> Candidates must be based in the Princeton, NJ Area (no housing or relocation stipend is offered for this role)</p> <p> </p>
